“Fire"opens with an exhausted parent on their first day off in weeks, white-hot rage ready to burn down a broken system—until reality intervenes. "Standby Captain." Because when you're the only one your family can rely on in corporate America, there are no real breaks.

What follows is a surgical dissection of how extractive empires maintain control: separating children from parents within weeks of birth, breaking family bonds, then flooding kids with "educational content" designed to hook them before they can think critically. Mom and Dad are too busy working multiple jobs to notice their children being programmed by curriculum that keeps them away from actual books.

The track exposes the rigged game where corporate moguls started with Boardwalk and millions, passing Go thousands of times before anyone else even stepped to the starting line. It's Monopoly on a civilizational scale—no reciprocity, no balanced books, just extraction and legal fictions that treat pieces of paper as constitutional persons.

Through the metaphor of "cultural cremation," the artist burns away the surface lies to reveal the skeletal structure underneath: holographic political theater performed by crowned clowns, while shadows coordinate cons and launder legitimacy through corporations and academic institutions. We once witnessed history being made; now we watch it being systematically erased.

The vampire imagery captures how these undead entities drain life from human bodies while projecting false prosperity. They claim we're making more money than ever while growing poorer every year—but nobody's listening to the contradiction.

The resolution comes through controlled fire rather than destructive rage. "Sometimes got to turn the gas down, just enough to warm the house"—the wisdom of protective parenting in a predatory system. Their children's lives matter more than any machine cog, any simulation, any propaganda spewing from the swamp that DC has become.

While corrupt delegates and representatives hide in underground luxury resorts beneath the National Mall, real people are "building, growing, grinding, striving to make heaven on earth." The contrast is stark: life-builders versus death-dealers, creators versus extractors.

The track ends with quiet defiance. Where others' fires have died out, this one still burns—controlled, purposeful, and impossible to extinguish. It's not about burning everything down anymore; it's about keeping the flame alive to light the way forward.

Fire" transforms personal exhaustion into systemic analysis, protective love into political resistance, and righteous anger into sustainable hope. It's a complete manifesto for anyone trying to stay human while building something better in the ruins of empire.

Connecticut-born Jaybee was brought up listening to the diverse sounds of Jazz & Pop, with deep roots in Hip Hop, Reggae and Dance Hall. Inspired by his father (who was a radio DJ), he developed an early fascination for music videos and radio shows. At age 13, he was introduced to a pair of turntables—and with influences like KRS 1, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, and Buju—began a lifelong journey into mixing and music production.  

A few years later, he was intrigued by a friend’s techno compilation “Hit the Decks” Megamix tape series, and branched out into absorbing more electronic music genres like Breakbeats. He was introduced to jungle at his first Digital Konfusion Jungle Party with DJ ODI, who mixed two copies of “Terrorist,” which further piqued his interest on the decks. Coming from a turntablist background, he realized that it was possible to blend his Hip Hop mixing skills into Jungle music, zeroing in on his own style incorporating dope beats with tight scratches. Working closely with other prominent artists in the industry, Jaybee has been collaborating regionally with producers like Random Movement, Dave Owen, Grimm, and Sinistarr. He has played in a majority of the states and festivals like WMC; as well as overseas in Europe, including performing at the Mac II label showcase at Sun N Bass. 

Jaybee’s music has received support by the likes of DJ Randall, Bryan Gee, DJ Marky, Calibre, Grooverider, DJ Storm, dBridge, LTJ Bukem, DJ Vapour, A-Sides, PFM, Trex, Physics, and Random Movement among others.

Now residing in Virginia, Jaybee has gone from strength to strength and is a fixture in the stateside drum and bass scene. With releases on Mac II, V Recordings, Liquid V, Chronic, GoodLooking, Innerground, Rubik and many others, he’s more than established a solid foundation as a key American drum and bass producer. Blending diverse sounds seamlessly from soulful rollers with lush vocals, to heavier hitting compositions, you’re guaranteed a captivating ride full of energy that vibrates the dance floor with deep baselines every time.
