Full Bio: 

In 2009, Clutch Magazine called Jayda b. a, “ball of thunder plus a wave of energy with splashes of fun”. Since her study at Temple University, Japan Campus, Jayda b. has been curating events and radio between her hometown of Atlanta and Tokyo. Host and curator of #DENTradio, which is based in her hometown of Atlanta, Jayda b. connects the Japanese music scene with the local scene of Atlanta showcasing new talent in both cities and conducting interviews in both English and in Japanese. Spotlighting new talent like the Trekkie Trax Crew and Seiho from Japan, and other talent outside of her cities such as StarRo and J*Davey from LA. Hosting “Press Play Japan” on Block FM, Jayda b. or ジェイちゃん, also uses that platform to strictly showcase Japanese artists on an all-English program. With her ear for originality, Jayda b. began pursuing Djing, another passion of hers in 2014. 

In 2015, Jayda b. Began the “Bae” movement in Atlanta while bringing it back to Tokyo with her, in hopes of expanding the platform and creating an international outlet for women in music, art and entertainment. Within only one year of the brand, Bae Tokyo has seen support from inside and out of her community. Founder and director of the movement, along with her team of girls in Tokyo, Jayda b. Hopes to continue to expand the platform and connect cultures regardless of language or location. She says, “Through radio and music, I have met the most amazing people and learned so much about myself following my heart and passions. If my life can be a testimony in which I can help someone else achieve their goals through the things I am doing now, I want to be able to do that through Bae and the other outlets that I am a part of.”
