90's Drum & Bass Mix

Ahhh finally a new Safe Radio episode. 

Safe Radio S07E02 is the longest so far in the series - more specifically 5 hours and 31 minutes. It consists of 78 tracks that i've been listening to and playing out since last episode. As per usual we're riding from ambient over downtempo to club/dance music.

I've been wanting to put some of the tracks from this episode in my other mixes, but somehow couldn't crack the code until now. I'm obviously super excited about finding a way to finally get [ some of ] these tracks into one of my mixes. 

Big shout out to everyone who are sending messages and showing interest in my music and what I do. I hope you like this one too ;-)

Mary Young has played festivals from Visio to Wibes. In Oulu you might have catched her play at the Tähtitorni terrace at the Pride-Elektorni a few Summers ago. Mary Young is also one of the people behind the London Zoo club concept which has brought artists like Kahn & Neek, Pinch and many more to play in Finland.

It’s only fitting then that this mix contains a healthy dosage of UK club music from straight-up dubstep, to steppers and dark UKG. Artists include Elektorni-favorites Al Wootton and SP:MC as well as exclusive material from Dreadlock tales and DJ Yöveli x Wrekkid, even a couple of rap instrumentals are blended smoothly amongst the tracks.

"I've been listening to a lot of dub, rap and grime lately, so the mix turned out a pretty dark journey inspired by the aforementioned genres."
