"Slw Mtn" or Slow Motion is an ode to Instagram models. These demi-celeberties are put up on high pedestals, egos inflated by likes and follows. Through the lens of social media their lives seem exciting and luxurious but the reality is that the life of most IG models is much less glamorous and much more ordinary than they'd have you believe. The likes and followers become like a drug, a powerful simulation for social validation, boosting their self-esteem to a level of dependency until internet interactions supersede the real world and actual psychical interactions. When emojis replace real emotions. When snapping and posting selfies become second nature. The more you connect through the internet the more you disconnect, spiritually, with the world around you. And this song although upbeat and fun bares a serious underlying message about the vanity behind social media. Slow Motion is the second installment, "Trust" being the first, from a project titled "the dissolution of man" a collection of songs, periodically being released as singles, touching on the shortcomings and social issues that have arisen as a result of this new age of social media supremacy.
