Danny was round yesterday and I showed him the tickets we have for the Shelleys gig in May. Got to thinking what a raver I was back in the day. I was lucky to catch the wave a little on such an exiting thing at the back end of the 80's and throw myself full-on in it for a while '90 onwards. I went from flares funkster on a summer visit to the Hacienda in 89 to Mr. Hardcore himself in 90. Wish I still had my t-shirt with the BS kite mark on it. Safe.
So Friday's were often Shelleys and Saturday was off to hunt down the elusive warehouse/illegal for sometime. We did trips to the eclipse, dance factory and other places. Sometimes back to Shelleys on a Saturday. I had a great great time and got away with it  :)
So, in memory of my adventure to to the Dance Factory in Birmingham one night in 90 or 91 and going nuts to Mickey Finn playing early old school breakbeats I mixed this last night. In the words of Young MC "This is a raid pump up the noise" Now where's that speed and purple ohm?
