wow, wow, wow. This song was written on a whim and a vague prompt. My friend asked me to write a song about a lighthouse. So My cousin, Arieana, and I wrote this beauty. Ari pulled this arrangement out of nowhere, and I hate her for how good it was and how casual she made it seem. 

To me, this song is about loss. I lost someone very close to me. One of my most favorite people in the world, and it was my fault. "Starry-eyed" is about losing a relationship that you want to comeback so desperately after all the conflict. The song shows how I want to be the light in their eyes that makes them all starry-eyed again. For them to see me in the light they once saw me in.
