The land on which we live, work, and play was stolen from indigenous peoples, and sold by non-indigenous people for profit which has been disproportionately distributed for generations. So it is time to put an end to this and pay the rent that we owe. 
All proceeds will be heading to pay The Rent. A collective based on the lands of the Kulin nation here in Victoria, Australia. It is made up of both indigenous and non-indigenous peoples and is about honouring the sovereignty of Indigenous peoples by distributing rent to local Aboriginal groups at a grassroots level. Where it can be allocated by indigenous peoples, to indigenous peoples for anything from health services, education, arts and culture, housing, legal costs, and more. 
“Paying the Rent is a step towards acknowledging these facts. It is part of a process that all non-indigenous people - individually and collectively - need to enter into if we are to move towards justice, truth, equality and liberation for First Nations people.”

'I opened this mix with one of my favourite tracks at the moment; 'Doors Of Deception' by Guy Contact. I'm a huge fan of his music and I thought it’d be the perfect track to intro this mix. The rest of the mix includes a range of cuts which I’ve been loving recently from Human Movement, t e s t p r e s s, and one of my all time faves Lxury. Recently with mixes I've tried not to follow a theme of one genre and like to switch it up, so I feel like this was a good example of that!'

Hailing from Inverness, Scotland. It is no lie to say that Drew Stacey has expanded his music tastes within the past couple of years going from chilled house music, trance, hard groove and heavy techno just to name a few.
Picking up Djing as a hobby just before covid Drew never got to play his first club night until 2021 where he had his debut gig under his own collective ‘2ndface’.
 Since then Drew has warmed up for some of the hottest names in the scene such as X CLUB, Shampain and t e s t p r e s s. He also now has a fast approaching warm up set for one of technos rising stars AZYR.
Drew has picked up on producing in the past couple of months and looks to have his first release out sometime this year.

An idea born between the underground of London and the dance floors of Berlin, UNDERTHESEA is a concept series combining vinyl releases with club nights. Hailing from Barcelona, Gregori Menendez (aka Grego After All) found an interest in the crashing waves between house and techno. Influenced by these vibrations, he craves to push the boundaries of electronic music, to encourage up and coming acts with the support of established artists to build up a talented network and an output of quality.

The connection between the Mediterranean and Caribbean Sea brought X-Coast and the label together to drop the first episode of UNDERTHESEA. The New York-based artist delivers three fresh original cuts complemented with a remix by Berlin’s versatile talent Borrowed Identity. The EP presents equal parts of groove and energy characterised by X-Coast´s 90’s rave inspirations with a pulsating swell combined with seductive female vocals just like a mermaid’s allure. On the flip-side, Borrowed Identity illustrates his stripped down rhythms for a well-rounded 12-inch.

Continuing its party series, UNDERTHESEA is hosting two showcases in August to represent the vibe of the project. First in Berlin’s Schwuz on August 3rd and in Barcelona’s Razzmatazz on August 18th with more to be confirmed.

Keep an eye on the sea, you never know what’s underneath.
