Zhari village is a walled village in the northern wastes of the Kerlynzian Empire. The people there are hardy, and its farms are sustained by a dam near the town gates. Normally, it's a pretty peaceful and inconsequential place. Normally.
The city is teeming with Imperial Knights now, keen to sniff out a conspiracy to aid the New State Army which has turned a lot of frontier towns to its cause. It's a tense place to be just now.

So, someone here on SoundCloud messaged me and asked me to do a remix of Green Hill Zone for a Sonic The Hedgehog fan game they are working on. I hope it does the original justice and adds my own spin on it at the same time. As I work back through season 1 buffing out blemishes and scrubbing away grime, I came to realize that I needed to remember what I was working on and why.

This was made back in June back when I was still unsure of what my next big release was going to be. At the time I wanted to take some of the music I worked on for Sonic Boom (the romhack) and finish some ideas I had demoed out as a small EP, but the creativity well had other ideas.

Who knows, maybe I'll continue that idea, but here's a brand new one regardless. :)

stage 4 theme for PIER PRESSURE! I wanted this one to sound like a weird, high energy, FM techno beat, with a big melodic breakdown in the middle. The first thing I came up with was that arp in the intro, the second was the thumping bassline,  everything followed from there!
