I was in a particular way when I wrote this song. I didn’t know what to do with the direction of my life at that point, but I heard the verse of an old hymn in my head—sung in a different way. So I started singing it, just to hear some healing for my heart. And it developed from there.

When  a chord progression or a note gets real good to me, I shrug one shoulder and hold it in place. That’s my thing. I don’t know where it came from, but that’s it. Or I have a short outburst of laughter. Usually because I don’t know what else to do. It just gets that good sometimes.

I’m glad to join this community of music aficionados. I feel welcome already.
