With his Guest Mix Australian house and minimal mainstay Dylan Griffin continues to make waves beyond the shores of his island home

With releases on USA’s highly respected Little Helpers as well as exclusive vinyl & digital releases with home imprint Subsonic Music and dance music behemoth Poker Flat for their sister label Sublease Music.

In fact, his latest release comes in the form of his "Pulled" EP on Sublease Music in collaboration with fellow Aussie artist Chad B (@adambarclay), following on from their well-received We Were Sleeping EP of 2020. The pair have clearly formed a connection with Steve Bug’s aesthetic for the label, fitting perfectly with the swingy, deep vibe it’s becoming known for.

After 10 years of being a touring DJ in Australia and Asia Pacific, Dylan has shifted gears and now works closely with production partner Chad B for most of his studio output. In late 2018 their debut vinyl EP, that included an Alexkid remix, sold out in many of the major vinyl stores world wide after esteemed charting & press. That was the foundation that launched them into the trajectory they now find themselves in. With their last few releases having favourable press across publications Trommel, Meoko, 6AM, Magnetic Magazine & Constant Circles their music is now starting to reach a more global audience.  The production output is ongoing and Dylan’s original works have been supported by the like of Steve Bug, Archie Hamilton, Doubting thomas, Alexkid, Mihai Popiviciu & John Digweed to name just a few.

Not one to follow trends Dylan has been fostering an infinite combination of the driving & groove based elements of the house, micro house and minimal techno worlds for over 10 years now. With not many Australian dance music institutions that Dylan hasn’t graced he has cemented an enduring reputation across dance floors and beaming peak time sets on some of the country’s most acclaimed events, festivals and clubs.

Despite originally hailing from New York, Serge Devant has recently locked in close ties with one of London's own key music outposts Crosstown Rebels, falling in with the iconic warm and deep house aesthetic Damien Lazarus's iconic imprint when he made his first release this year with his Always On My Mind EP. The release was part of something of a comeback for the producer after being forced to take a year out from music in recovery following a devastating snow boarding accident. This became a time of reflection and development of his sound where he began working under groove informed direction, which also has been snapped up by Lee Foss and Jamie Jones' Emerald City music and Crosstown sub label Rebellion and is clearly already proving to be a positive upturn in his career.

More releases can be expected from Devant on Crosstown later this year, plus he's heading to EC1 for the first time this Saturday night. So, to properly demonstrate this fresh direction and what can be expected from his debut, he's put together this exclusive promo mix...

Ive been playing and writing music for about 20 years.

Ive been lucky enough to have many many cool labels release more than a hundred of my songs and remixes, most of them on vinyl.

A lot of great djs have also played my music throughout these years and included it in numerous compilations.

This allowed me to travel restlessly to over 45 countries with the sole purpose of making people dance.

Im a dedicated music selector trying not to get trapped in a single style of music. You will hear that my sets range from deep house to disco to boogie to soul and to whatever tickles the dancefloor best.
 
Im also involved in a collaboration project with my good friend and talented producer Manuel Sahagun, expect a lot of new music from us as well...

I will be posting previews of these releases here on a weekly basis...
