Jaz Valentino is a 23 year old artist and songwriter with a focus on creating music that combines different styles and influences. His sound blurs the lines between the classic warm tones of R&B and Neo-Soul, and the dynamics of modern hip-hop. Currently based in Toronto, Jaz grew up in Ajax, Ontario and Scarborough but he has a unique background, being half Grenadian and half Serbian. He was exposed to great music at a very young age, and it didn’t take long for him to understand that he felt a special connection with rap and R&B overall. Before his dad passed away when Jaz was only 13, the two shared many musical experiences, including his dad teaching him guitar and drums; which eventually led Jaz to consider a music career more seriously, even writing his original songs. His tracks often focus on original experiences and Jaz has been able to connect with his listeners on a deeper level.
 
Ultimately, Jaz’s music is highly recommended if you are a fan of artists such as Marvin Gaye, D’Angelo, Drake, Kendrick Lamar or Akon, only to mention a few.
