Lonnies Lament

This is essentially a jam based on a Robert Glasper-type pastiche chord pattern written by friend and collaborator Martin Ryves. On this track I have overdubbed Piano, Rhodes, Organ, Strings and some live trumpet and trombone all played by me. The title "Infect You, Us" refers to this strange period of social distancing due to the rise of Covid-19.

Sunday Mornings

I wrote this piece as part of a series of duets for wind instruments. Here I am playing trombone and doubling on piano. My good friend, Martin Ryves plays tenor sax here in this version. I've played in a simulated fretless bass sound and use a combination of sampled drums with some judicial 'tailoring'.

Latin Dance

This original piece is taken from a set of pieces I wote for my wife Diana(here playing oboe) and myself (trombone doubling on piano), during lock-down. Whilst unable to carry out our normal musical activities (hers as a classical musician and mine as a jazz player) we thought it would be interesting to work together on a project. This is only one  sample taken from a video recording.
