Here's some classic funk from back in the day when it was new. The year is 1979 and I was playing in this band while going to Berklee. I'd had my Lyricon for about a year.
This is fa live recording on a cheap portable cassette recorder from a show we did at the in Camden, Maine on May 5 1979.  Yes, that's a Syndrum that the lead vocalist is wearing out!  The name of the band was Seventh Son. Not many cover bands wold touch this back then!

Here is my Halo 4 Remix contest entry from the "To Galaxy" stems.  It's a Drum 'n' Bass remix.  I used Abelton Live 8 with Reason rewired and the Sunrizer synth on my iPad2.
The bass is a Malstrum synth in Reason played with Akai EWI4000s.  The vocalize (Masterchief sings) is from the Sunrizer synth on my iPad2 played by EWI4000s. I used many Abelton effects!  Mastered using Peak Pro7 and Ozone4

The first 2 tracks are from May 85' with my group "The B.K.4" playing at The Cafe in Augusta, Ga. I'm on Lyricon for both. The next track is an original of mine from a live concert in Belgium in late 86 or early 87, also on Lyricon. The last on is from 89' with a band called "Xerxes" that I played with in Belgium. I'm on WX7 MIDI to a TX81z. The tune is an original by the guitarist.  Sorry for the quality, but they are live tapes recorded by a portable cassette except the Xerxes track which was  recorded during a rehearsal using a Yamaha 4-track cassette recorder. The 1st two tracks have Chris Hardy-drums, Lewis Letson-bass & Chris Mangelly-piano.  The last 2 have Pete Vanderiet-bass and Mike Allen-drums.  Sorry I can't remember the guitar players name.

I use Samplemodeling.com clarinets in Live 9 while recording Jazzified Bach Invention #1 for Clarinet Trio adapted by Ralph Martin. In Live 9 I have a jazz loop drum track, SampleTank upright bass from the 51 EWI/WX Combi and Samplemodeling Clarinets as Clarinet, Alto Clarinet and Bass Calrinet.

Akai EWI4000s and Samplemodeling Clarinets Jazzy Bach Trio

Here is a tune written and produced by Tom Garber right here in Myrtle Beach. He sent me this track to add some sax and EWI. I've added the sax harmony on the bridge and the sax solos using my Akai EWI4000s and SampleModeling Alto Sax in Live 9. The top octave of synth melody was played by Tom on keyboard. I added an octave below unison to the synth melody and solos using an internal EWI4000s preset from Gino Chimenti's set called 'S-Truth-T-Square'. I used an mp3 audio mix from Tom and added the sax and EWI using Live 9. I then rendered a mix and individual tracks for the added sax and EWI and sent them back to Tom so he can finish his mix. I like my Bernzilla mix and hope you do too.  I really like this tune. It's a fun jazz fusion blues with a smooth jazz bridge.  Keep it EWI.
