The Jazzmine Bey Quartet was born at the Razz'zz of Beirut, out of the meeting of four musicians kings of the odd, seven especially, which allows not to choose between three and four: Horny Tom, an unparalleled saxophonist, and Bruno et les P'tits Suisses, a trio which for some time already scoured the clubs of Beirut out of rage and despair. After a memorable and triumphant world tour that led it to perform at two unique concerts in East and West Beirut, the group recorded in 2015 a Best of entitled Suite au Cham.
The JBQ is undoubtedly THE current Lebanese jazz band you should listen to. All the original compositions of the quartet are potential hits... and will remain so unless you decide to give it the chance to perform outside Lebanon.
Bruno Paoli teaches Arabic language and literature at the Université Lumière of Lyon. He lived for many years in Syria and Lebanon and performed with Middle Eastern, European and American artists such as Lena Chamamyan, Cynthia Mac Pherson, Sarah Lazarus, Akosh Szelevenyi, Bassel Rajoub. In 1995, he was the co-founder of Jazz Caravan, the first jazz festival in Syria.
Tom Hornig is the most Lebanese of all American saxophone players. He settled in Beirut in 1994, and has toured all over the world with many of Lebanon’s most celebrated artists but also American and French Musicians including Julia Boutros, Omayma Khalil, Ousama Rahbani, Arthur Satyan, The D & G Band, Thierry Paul, Michel Bontemps, Yochko Seffer, Manu Fraiman to name a few. He is currently performing, among many others, with oud virtuoso Charbel Rouhana.
Ruedi Felder first studied classical guitar in Switzerland, with Christoph Jaeggin, focusing on contemporary classical music. After exchanging Switzerland with Lebanon, he relaunched his bass playing and established himself as a freelancer in Beirut. He plays a variety of different styles of music from Jazz to Arabic with a lot of Lebanese musicians and bands.
Arnaud Oeggerli settled in Beirut in 2010 to study kinesiotherapy, but he was soon noticed for the quality of his drumming, so that he was since then regularly hired to perform with various Lebanese jazz, blues and pop bands and artists.

Produced by Thomas Hornig, this pro-bono effort on behalf the hundreds of thousands victimized by Lebanon's archaic Nationality Laws and Kafala Sponsorship system which reduces countless numbers of people to non-persons completely invisible under Lebanese law. The Lyrics were written by Rabih Mrouee, set to Music by Charbel Rouhana,and recorded by Ghazi Abdel Baki and Forwardmusic.net. Also involved were and a number of beautiful souls who offered themselves and their talents  believing...we should al be equal.
