This is the title track of the album. In essence this is jazz meeting Buddhism head on. The sometimes discordant nature of some of the harmonies reflecting the daily struggle of my life and the resolution of these harmonies reflecting the benefit that my Buddhist practice has brought me.

Chants Meeting

This is a relaxing, reflective piece featuring my piano and other keyboards. The ascending melodic theme I find very uplifting. I love to listen to this piece just before I go to sleep.

‘Kalmer’ is a combination of two words karma & calmer. I love the bouncing rhythmic effect of the delayed piano. There is an overwhelming sense of peace in this track which I find very relaxing.

Human Revolution is taking action to make the changes in your life through Buddhist practice. This track features the voice of Zeljana Schonauer from Croatia. Zeljana introduced me to the practice and this track is dedicated to her

‘Gohonzon Day’ is a reflective piece celebrating the day I received my Gohonzon. The Gohonzon is the principle object of devotion for our practice. It is in the form of a scroll inscribed with Chinese and Sanskrit characters is the focal point for chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and reciting the sutra during gongyo. Nichiren taught that one should have faith in this Gohonzon as the object of devotion for attaining Buddhahood.

‘Let no prayer go unanswered’ was inspired by this quote “If you have faith in this Gohonzon and chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo even for a short while, no prayer will go unanswered, no offense unexpiated, no good fortune unbestowed, and no righteousness unproven.” from Nichikan Shonin's "Commentary on 'The True Object of Worship.

Alaya is the eighth consciousness. It is called the storehouse or alaya-consciousness since this is where our karma is stored. Karma is the cumulative effect of the causal forces produced by every thought, word and deed. The karmic sum of these actions influences everything we experience.
