The best known worldwide hit tune of Jazztronik, SAMURAI.
It's been played in many genres, from House to Jazz to Hip hop, since it was released in 2004 up to the present day.
And this time, SAMURAI is released as a new vinyl version.

Not only the piano but also the chorus and the beats have been fully re-recorded, creating a version with even more groove than the original.
This single also includes two alternative versions on the B-side: "Samurai beats” with only the beats, and “Samurai piano” with only the piano.

The other big news about this 12inch is the jacket design, with the samurai character newly redrawn by internationally renowned manga creator Takashi Okazaki.

We are confident in the high quality of the finished product, both musically and visually.

After 22 years in the music scene, Jazztronik has begun to create music more actively than ever.

そしてこの度、その『SAMURAI』が新たなヴァージョンとしてアナログでリリースされました。
メインのピアノはもちろん、コーラス、そしてビートの全てを録音し直し、より一層グルーヴ感を増したヴァージョンとなっています。
B面にはBeatのみのヴァージョンとピアノのみのヴァージョンが初収録されています。
今回ジャケットには世界的に人気を誇るクリエイターの岡崎能士（おかざきたかし）氏による書き下ろしデザインを起用。
音楽、デザイン共に非常に完成度の高いものに仕上がっています。

Hi, Hope everyone is OK. The world today is like a different world to the one we were in just a few months ago. We are all isolating at home. In the current situation, it's a bit hard for us musicians to make music together in a studio. So I asked them to record their playing instruments to my track in places where they like. Ichiro and Honami recorded at their home studio. Takeshi chose under the highway for his recording studio. I also recorded piano in my studio by myself and did mix. I'll keep releasing my music on bandcamp first.

"The 2nd session" is a version has no clap. "Beats Dub" has no instruments other than beats.

現在コロナの影響で都内のスタジオの多くが閉鎖になっています。またかなりの密閉空間ともなるのでなかなか集まってレコーディングをすることが困難です。しかしそこで音楽制作を諦めてストップするのではなく、何かそこを逆手に取り普段出来ない事をやってみようと思い作った曲です。ベースの藤谷さん、パーカッションの木川保奈美ちゃんは自宅で、僕も自宅スタジオでピアノやその他色々を録音。驚くのはサックス＆フルートの栗原くん。なんと高速道路のような場所の下で録音してきてくれました！でも、すごくちゃんと録音されていて驚きました。通常はエンジニアさんにお願いをするミックス作業も今回は自分で行ってみました。3ヴァージョン収録されています。

Musilogue第１弾アルバムとしてベースプレイヤーの藤谷一郎、SAX奏者の栗原健による“Elephant and a barbar”を制作しました。元々は彼らのLive会場のみでの販売目的で作られましたが好評の為CDリリースをする事になりました。藤谷一郎は１０年ほどJazztronikサウンドを支えそして様々なJ-POPの現場でも活躍している名プレイヤー。栗原健は様々な活動を経て、現在は自身の活動に加えSoil&pimp sessions、Kyoto Jazz Sextet、Jazztronik等で活躍している要注目プレイヤーです。野崎良太はpianoとrhodesで参加。その他に⑧⑨では作曲を担
当しています。空間系のギターを担当するのは東京のアンダーグラウンドシーンで活動を続ける井上新。Bonus trackには若手のクリエーター川原亮を起用。

Musilogue has released its 1st album “Elephant and a barbar” by Bass player Ichiro Fujiya and Sax player Takeshi Kurihara.This album was originally made for selling at venues where they would play.Due to popular demand Musilogue decided to release it more widely.Ichiro Fujiya is an amazing bass player who has supported Jazztronik for 10 years and also other Japanese pop music artists.Takeshi Kurihara started off in the underground scene and since then he has supported many artists like Soil&pimp sessions,Kyoto Jazz Sextet and Jazztronik.Ryota Nozaki(Jazztronik) plays piano and Rhodes and has composed 2 tunes (8)(9) on this album.Effective guitar is played by Arata Inoue who is active in the underground music scene in Tokyo.Musilogue has
chosen young creator Ryo Kawahara as a remixer for a bonus track.“Elephant and a barbar” is their own style of New Jazz with a deep and sometimes ambient feeling across the album.
This is an album where you can feel the progress of Music.
