Carrot Green from Rio de Janeiro is a very nice guy. Actually you can hear that in his music – he’s providing beautiful world styles combined with classic electronic elements in a very different way since years. The Kin Sharuba EP contains an Acid driven original tune and another one called Orientação Espacial which is more relaxed. Remix delivery successfully made by Dengue Dengue Dengue from Lima and Comemé’s Christian S.

A familiar face on the Berlin techno scene, Marcus Meinhardt can frequently be found ripping it up at Kater Blau and many of Germany’s other leading clubs. He is also no stranger to Exploited Ghetto with previous slammers like ‘Hibiskuss’ and ‘House Of Beats’ doing major damage’. 
‘Masada’ is another beast that builds imperceptibly to an intense throb through its perfectly balanced arrangement. A plump kick underpins shuffling tambourine rhythms and woodblock hits, while moody synth stabs give a sense of what’s to come. Droning textures growl as hints of the bass tease into life. On-beat stabs filter up ever-so-slowly while rasping electro pulses thrust into the groove. A rapid-fire synth refrain adds more colour before swathes of white noises lift the track upwards. 
As the synth interplay continues to intensify, snare rolls usher towards new levels of intensity. The succinct yet deadly potent main hook of the the track is brought into play, dragging a spine-tingling chord progression with it. The on-beat stabs brigthen in their intensity, creating a real sense of urgency. A big snare-roll filled breakdown teases us before the arrangement is stripped back to its tribal simplicity before the final crescendo of the track hits us. Fans of Innervisions and classic Bodzin and Huntemann material should lap this right up.

After first appearing on the ‘India Gets Physical album’, Arnold From Mumbai's 'Roots' now gets a standalone single release with remixes from Pezzner, Alexander Robotnik and PALMFooD.

High energy and infectious enthusiasm are some of the adjectives that are synonymous with the name Arnold Misquitta, who is fondly known as Arnold from Mumbai and is a key player in his local scene, now making global moves.

In original form, 'Roots' is a perfect warm deep house cut. Organic guitar licks brush up next to finger clicks and late-night chords that are smooth and sumptuous. It's feelgood and groovy and a surefire floor-filler thanks to the subtle string samples.

First to remix is Alexander Robotnick, the legendary Italian producer who excels at anything from Italo-disco to electro and gets played by the likes of Gerd Janson, Dixon and Peggy Gou. His version layers in cosmic arps that really take you on a trip and grow ever more acidic and loose limbed.

After his Bogogan EP on this label at the end of January, Vienna based PALMFooD returns with a fresh remix. It is a magical rework that shows off PALMFooD's mastery of his synths - they ring out to the heavens in celestial fashion as the slick groove rolls below.

Last of all, long-time associate and master sonic craftsman Pezzner serves up the remix he compilation with. It is slow-burning to start with but transforms into a lush, jazz laced and dreamy bit of melodic deep house.

These are four varied remixes that bring plenty of great perspectives to the heartwarming original.

Oráculos y Oasis is my first release with guest musicians. And it was a huge pleasure that i had this opportunity. On the track Oráculos, you can hear Janosch Marti playing the trombone, he is a very good friend of mine. It brought the track on a totally different level. In Oasis, my father Daniel Fasching laid down some accordion lines, which gave that track this slight melancholic touch but still so full of joy.

We welcome to the Kompakt family one of our local Cologne heroes, @jonathankaspar. We’ve appreciated him from afar for some time now thanks to his releases on Crosstown Rebels, Pets Recordings, Ouie and of course our own KX imprint. His single “Renard” was a highlight of our recently released TOTAL 19 collection, so it was time to make our relationship official with a 4 track EP.

Opener “Kern” leads with layers of melodic synths power charged around a playful house rhythm. For the digital release he offers up a Percussion Edit that is intended to bring more depth to the charge.
“Zentrum” is for that peak time pace…elevating melodies caress a swelling mid-tempo beat. Not to mention one of the biggest breakdown’s we’ve had the pleasure to release in some time. We move to “Licht” which literally sounds like it soars, then back to earth comes “Kante” – the most techno inspired track of the EP – an oscillating synth rips through solid low end bass frequencies – with Jonathan Kaspar skillfully demonstrating prime time, peak and valley production.

“Kante EP” brings out his emotive, high energy style of writing and producing in a means that could be pointed to as his best work to date.

ZOSIA & Ana Shanti's 'Honey' is the first track from ‘Words Don’t Come Easy Vol. 7’, which lands on March 27th, but gets a standalone release before that with an alternative version and a remix from TÂCHES.

This pair are newcomers to the scene but their single speaks volumes about their skills. 'Honey' is a superbly silky and enchanting house track with deep, gentle drums and lush harmonies. The chords are glowing, the vocals angelic, and the organic finger clicks make it feel all the more natural and real as you sink ever deeper into the luscious soundscape.

The ‘Doux Rework’ sees the duo revisit the track and deliver a version that is a little more propulsive; the chords are dubbed out and the drums are that bit more direct but none of the soothing qualities of the original are lost.

Spanish artist Alex Christopherson aka TÂCHES has a romantic and melancholic style that suits this remix perfectly: while the drums pick up the pace, and busier synths and wooden percussive hits are layered in, there is still an escapist vibe to the dreamy vocals and melodies that make it perfectly seductive.

This is a mature and musical EP of richly rewarding deep house.
