I wanna buy Supernova 2 and Linn Drum. They sound cool and Supernova have one really cool midi option. It is called everything. You can't find it from any modern synth. Even my supernova 1 has it. I could not do this music live with only 2 hands and one leg with any modern synth or drumm machine. It's all about weird mathematics and flow of electrons that bytes can't mimic.

Anyway, Arturia seem to have some clue about makin possibilities out of midi instead of creating restrictions and assimilating your flavor to something that everybody is doing. Other than that I seem to be doomed to listen more Com Truise and searching basic fundamentals of sound from old synths. And what comes to control and rhythm... Yes the old midi. The simple old midi.

I seem to get sick and become sad if I sit next to a computer. I know it should not be that bad. But when I can play real instruments and old gear, I feel good and sound cool. It feels like the opposite end of doing this music thing by bending bytes in a screen. I know some producers sound cool with their computers and that is a good thing for all of us that like to listen music.

Bass guitar, guitar and Novation Supernova 1 + cheap drum machines and a looper. I already recorded a better version of this song while I was having fun with tweaking sounds. But staying original, so here is how it was first played.

Babylon 6 - 31.8.2019 15.01

I have been waiting for this day. I managed to sell my old Pigtronix Infinity and used that money to get Novation Bass Station 2. This song is my first test with it and I really like a lot. I routed my drums and BS2 through Novation Nova Laptop and added 2 more parts. Other than that, this is all about BS2. Yes the drums and BS2 have now Supernova effect block and that thing is a beast.

Funny that my old supernova was born from Bass Station v1. And this BS2 is a remake. The sound of BS2 is huge and it can compete a little with supernova, but this supernova baby is something too cool to be true. BS2 is nice and that was filter is made for bass. But it's simple and it's arpeggiator is crap. But then again, I got this piece of gold that can lend its arpeggiator to his little friend. 3 Stereo outputs. 2 mono inputs. Vocoder. Six parts. Six effect blocks. 3 oscillators per part + 2 ring modulators and noise. You can also send sound from inputs to filter. And there is so much more... I love it. 

Anyway, having both - BS2 and supernova - is kinda wet dream. 

I hope you like the tune. This is a bit of testing, but it will get better. Belive me and stay tuned.

My guitar has wrong neck piece. But it has been like that always. SO why bother my mind about it. It has it's flaws but so do you, me and the rest of the world..

Anyway, the winter is coming. It's dark at he morning. It's dark at the evening. And in the middle you go to work. And sometimes we think that this is how it should be.. It should not!

Finally I bought cheap monitors. Small Mackies. Soon I will start to practice playing with EQ. ..but I may not want to use it.

But monitors are good. SO much stuff being un-noticed and now it is easier to balance. 

And this was just practice play, but I do like this song quite much. I don't want to publish it with all the extra and breakdowns.. Maybe in gig some day..

Analog nightmare of digital dreamer!

Music made without computers, with equipment from 80's & 90's. Spaceships and rok rok! Old school drum machines and Novation synths are combined with modern loopers to create improvised tunes and soundscapes to fill your darkest and brightest needs of synthetized waves.

At this point I aim just to practice playing and all recordings are improvised 1-track live recordings.
