VENE combines references to the music of Mahler, Schönberg, Webern and other composers whose compositions were performed at the Society for Private Musical Performances founded by Arnold Schönberg in Vienna in 1918. In 2 movements, I elaborated further on their work in a quasi spectral style. The MIDI version here on soundcloud is using the IRCAM solo library, of which samples where used to design the spectral elements of the composition.

A Midi file playing back Bach's 2-part invention BWV 777 on my custom carillon sample-set that I created from the Old Church (Oude Kerk) in Amsterdam in 2014.
The bells were individually sampled with the assistance of the city's carillonist Boudewijn Zwart.
