IN THE HALF LIGHT OF THE CANYON

This is my first original song, words and music by yours truly. this is a demo for the upcoming album I am working on; Love In The Tropics. I recorded this before with the amazing Dod Kalm Quartet (Thanks Dudes!) for my EP; also for Out Of Bounds Recording (Thank you Courteney Castillo and Andrea Meza!); This was my first fully studio recording of this track. 

This was recorded by my good friend/amazing artist Luis Echevarria in Nashville, with otherworldly backing Vox from my good friend/also amazing artist Elisheva.

By the incomparable Sade Adu, as well as her intrepid bandmates: Stuart Matthewman and Andrew Hale. It has been a favorite song of mine for quite some time. it tells an absolutely heartbreaking story of war, terror, and desperation, with a brevity and concision that would make Raymond Chandler or E.B. White proud. here is my modest, and still percussion-less, version. It is much improved, I think, but if it is not, do tell me, and I will improve it! Thank you and enjoy!
