Each second you spend out in the chill of the wind depletes a portion of your health, so its imperative that you take the tunnel paths whenever you find them.

Megaman II ~ That Bubble Mayne

So...um...let me explain this one.  Recently I've been playing Legend of Legacy for the 3DS.  It happens to have awesome music, and you know why?  Because the game's soundtrack was composed by none other than Masashi Hamauzu.  Who is he?  Well I'm glad you asked!  He happens to be the one who composed the soundtracks for most of the Final Fantasy 13 series.  I'm sure a lot of people have a love/hate relationship with the FF13 trilogy, as I do, but at least one thing we can all agree on is that the music was awesome.  

And so...this is my attempt at composing a boss battle theme in Masashi's style.  Can't say I did a super job at doing so, but I think I got a lot of things right.  All of you music theory savvy people...please critique and give pointers at your leisure because I admit, I am not the greatest at this style...yet...*twiddles fingers and laughs maniacally*

Undertale ~ Another Medium *Revamped*

You must go on a journey.  First, you must run, jump, and shoot lemons at a Pokemon in order to capture it with ease.  Once you've captured it continue heading east through the city.  Beware of robots running amok in that area.  You might want to hold on to a charged shot just in case one tries to catch you off guard.  Once out of the city, you will find yourself in the midst of a battle between two factions.  Don't worry though, for a master tactician will guide you to safety by way of a peculiar tunnel.  There, you will meet a lazy skeleton.  He will guide you through the depths along with a friend of his who everyone seems to regard as "Goat Mom."  The exit will lead you to a mountain side.  There, you will face many trials until you reach the sandy canyon.  As you make your way through the canyon, a lone swordsman will bar your path and ask for a friendly spar...his name I can't seem to remember.  You should accept the challenge, but know that this swordsman is a very formidable opponent.  After you claim victory, the swordsman will guide your to the lustrous plains of Shinshu.  That, is where your journey ends.

I found that out when trying to look for Crosscode (since apparenty the Sans in that comic is referred to as cross).  Really hard to find good fanart of Crosscode for some reason...

CrossCode ~ The First Steps Of Battle

So I started this early last year, but I got pretty frustrated with it.  Not because I didn't have any good ideas, but because my laptop couldn't handle it.  I was planning on using some HQ drums from Native Instruments, but my DAW kept crashing because of the CPU load.  I was also going through a lot of changes in my work life, so I decided to take a break from composing for a while.  Well, that ended up being about a year's worth of time...but I finally went back and completed this!  Needles to say, I did so before actually upgrading my work station, so the HQ drums were still shelfed for this production, but I still like the way this turned out.  Because I held off for so long, I was able to refine the song when I finally came back to complete it.  As usual, I'll be doing a *Bonus Track* to go with this series of remixes, and will be putting it up on bandcamp.  I haven't decided on what melody I want to use, but if you have any suggestions...feel free to make some!  Just know that it has to be a song from one of the 10 games referenced in this series.  Anyways, hope you guys enjoy this nearly 10 minute long track! ....>_>;;

-I play them a lot, yes...therefore I am musically inspired by them...or at least some of them.  There's a few out there that I could care less for musically...looking at you Star Ocean: The Last Hope! >:(

So would you say that you're a video game music composer?
-I could...but then I'd be lying.  I have other stuff on here that isn't necessarily "vg" music material. :P
