Story
Ngoma Nlô
In ancient times, when the roads were made of red earth and the trees whispered secrets to the wind, there lived a sacred drum called Ngoma Nlô, the Talking Drum. It was no ordinary drum: carved from iroko wood and adorned with ancestral symbols, it had the power to carry messages between distant villages. Its sound was not just music, but language: each beat was a word, each rhythm an emotion.
The elders guarded it in the village of Ebong, and when a community needed help, advice, or a celebration, the drum spoke. Its echo crossed mountains, rivers, and jungles, carrying news, warnings, and blessings. It was the soul of communication, the spiritual heartbeat that united the people.

But one moonless night, a greedy stranger stole the drum. He took it far away, intending to sell it as mere art. At dawn, the villages awoke in silence. There were no songs, no answers. The mothers wept, the elders gathered, but without the drum, their words reached no one. The connection was broken.

For years, the communities lived in isolation, distrustful of one another. Traditions began to fade, like smoke in the wind. Until a boy named M'Boma, born in silence, dreamed of the drum. In his dream, the spirits showed him the way to where it was hidden.
Guided by the rhythm of his heart, M'Boma embarked on a journey through jungles and savannas. He found the drum in a forgotten cave, covered in dust but untouched. When he played it, the drum spoke again. Its voice awakened the ancestors, and its echo reunited the villages.

Now, each generation learns to read the rhythms of the drum. Not only to communicate, but to remember that tradition, like sound, lives on as long as it is shared. And that when the common voice is lost, the soul of the people is lost.

Enchanted Moirai: Reliquary of the Three
In the misty mountains of Sintra, where palaces seem like frozen dreams and forests murmur in the voices of ancestors, there are three places unmarked on maps: the Fonte da Verdade (Fountain of Truth), the Gruta do Lume (Grotto of Light), and the Outeiro do Silêncio (Sunset of Silence). Each is guarded by an enchanted Moira, female spirits who emerge when the moon touches the water and the human heart dares to seek the impossible.
Moira da Fonte da Verdade (The Fountain of Truth)
In a spring hidden among ferns and Romanesque ruins lives Alvor, the Moira of Truth. Her water is crystalline, but whoever drinks from it hears her own voice revealing secrets she never wanted to admit. Some flee. Others cry. Only those who accept her truth can follow the path to the second test.
Moira da Gruta do Lume (The Cave of Light)
In a cave that burns without consuming, dwells Fórria, the Moira of Fire. Her flame does not burn flesh, but illusions. She shows visions of what one believes one desires, and then reduces them to ashes. Whoever endures the pain of losing what is false finds a red stone: a symbol of purified will.
Moira of Silence
At the top of a moira tree where the wind is silent and the birds do not sing, Serena, the Moira of Silence, waits. She does not speak, but her gaze asks: "What are you willing to leave behind to find what you seek?" Whoever answers truthfully receives a silver locket containing a magical breath that can open any door, except that of return.
It is said that these Moirai were three sisters who defied the Lusitanian gods for love, wisdom, and freedom. As punishment, they were made guardians of the trials that every hero must overcome. Some believe their spirits still sing on foggy nights, guiding the brave toward a destiny that cannot be bought or stolen: self-knowledge.

Yamai, Guardian of the Waters
In ancient times, when the islands of Vanuatu still conversed with the winds and volcanoes slumbered beneath coral swells, lived a man named Yamai. He was no ordinary man. It was said that his soul was intertwined with the ocean, and that under the full moon he could transform into a shark, swashbuckling the waters with obsidian eyes and fins like obsidian blades.
Yamai was born of a sacred union between an island woman and the spirit of the deep sea. From childhood, he heard voices in the waves, learned the secrets of the currents, and swam with the sharks as if they were brothers. But his destiny was not simply to swim: it was to protect.
When pirates arrived with fire and nets, Yamai emerged from the abyss like a whirlwind of scales and fury. The waters turned black, and the invaders vanished without a trace. From then on, the islanders knew that Yamai was not just a man, but a guardian spirit.
Every dawn, the fishermen left offerings on the shore: shells, flowers, and songs. Before setting sail, they murmured his name to the wind, asking for protection. Some said they had seen him swimming alongside their canoes; others claimed he guided them to schools of fish when hunger gnawed at them.
But Yamai didn't only protect from human threats. When storms raged and reefs became deadly traps, his shark-like silhouette emerged from the waves, guiding lost boats to safe waters. His presence was a sign of balance: between man and sea, between fear and faith.
Today, although motors have replaced oars and maps have replaced the stars, the fishermen of Vanuatu still respect Yamai. In their nighttime songs, in the stories told around the fire, his name lives on like an ancestral echo.
Because as long as there is a sea, there will be Yamai.
