Having released on labels such as DNB Allstars, Crucast, Invicta Audio and now Ministry of Sound, Bookey’s versatile production has led to support in sets from industry heavyweights like Skream, Bou, Turno, Skepsis & Sub Zero. 

J picked up production at 18, spending hours on end studying A.M.C sets to develop his technical skills. Since his first release 5 years ago, Bookey has made a name for himself in the drum and bass scene with his fast-paced and energetic mixing style, which has taken him from playing live-streamed lockdown sets from home, all the way to venues like Bristol’s legendary Lakota. 

The inspiration for ‘Gucci’ struck when J stumbled upon Kreayshawn’s ‘Gucci Gucci’ on YouTube; putting his own spin on the iconic vocal to create the stripped back dnb banger that’s brimming with attitude and set to become soundtrack of summer 2023.
