Irish wobble-maestros Dirty Dubsters continue their relentless assault on the junodownload charts, unveiling "Girls Pon Mi Mind" a eminently carnival ready collaboration with Champion UK Deejay Top Cat, which comes backed with some switch em up remixes. The original version pays equal attention to the chunked out beats as it does the authentic dubbed out skank riddims that shift in and out of focus along with some vintage JA horns, whilst Top Cat's distinctive delivery rides the circa 140bpm bump with aplomb. The summer is nearly here and tingz are heating up! Not weather-wise (come on, this is the UK!) but at the Run Tingz Bristol HQ. 

Having blazed into 2013 with distinction – four massive releases, three new label signees, parties across the UK, an exclusive signing to the on-point Boom agency – the Cru now pull the biggest rewind of their lives and take us on a trip back to 2010/11 with their most comprehensive dispatch to date… 

With over three years of unique contemporary Jungle locked up in the bullet proof Run Tingz vault, they thought it high time they revisited the first four releases and the tracks that started their epic journey. Giving the parts to a select team of all-star remixers, the result is a sun-soaked package of seismic soundclash proportions.

‘Jungle Champion’ leads. Run Tingz debut label release, they’ve given new signing J.Man the duties and he’s done them justice. Giving Blackout’s throaty patter centre stage on the well known ‘Real Rock” riddim, J strips the vibe back to a classic Jungle sub n’ skank approach giving it an instant timeless vibe.

Serial Killaz follow. Taking the Run Tingz anthem ‘Born Inna Babylon’ to a much deeper pasture with a softer swing and more emphasis on the iconic horn riff, once again they show why they’re the remixer of choice for many of the Jungle scene’s influential figures. Whaooooh!

Up next, Northern Lights’ take on the infamous ‘Informer’, a track so naughty they got Albert Square’s finest to front the video. With playful treatment of the Golden Hen, Steppa and Kitcha lull you into a false sense of security. Then BANG: when that bass drops, you’ll know all about it!

‘Sweet Sunshine’, meanwhile, has been expertly reworked another recent signing, Dossa. Complementing the sunny-side vibes of the original while adding his own party twist, the bass bubbles with a distinctive fuzzy, buzzy distorted funk that just won’t quit. 

Tenerife-based Ricky Tuff closes the show with his remix of ‘I Got Love’. Warming the blend with deeper subs, skippier riddim work and punctual bass, it’s yet another fine complement to the stunning vibes of the original and introduces the last in the hat trick of signings in true style.

Five key cuts that have helped shape the distinctive Run Tingz sound. Five fully charged festival shakers, primed and ready for sunny season and beyond. The summer is nearly here and our playlists are heating up!
