‘It’s Like Sun’ is a song that symbolises for me a sense of feeling like myself again. The sun represents a feeling of warmth and clarity that comes with reconnecting with your identity and what it means to be you, and the goal was to capture this sonically!

I'm really excited to share my new single - The Way I Live a Life! This one is about feeling grounded in doing your own thing, having fun and allowing yourself to let go. It's the first of a new collection of music from myself, exploring a range of subgenres I haven't previously ventured in.

The Way I Live a Life

'Switched Up' is my first time venturing into DnB! It started out as a live jam on my Elektron Octatrack & Model Cycles, which I then took into Ableton to polish into a full song. I took a range of vocal samples, creating a lot of textures from different phrases & ad libs. For me, ‘Switched Up’ represents pushing myself out of my comfort zone, and the wonderful moments in life that you can find yourself in as a result.

I also had a go at drawing digital art for this cover! Taking several photos of key memories for me over the past couple of years, including digging into my old Tumblr page lol, and recreating in Procreate.

I did a remix of the newly released A$AP track with Gesaffelstein! Dirty vibes with a nice slow electro beat.

2018 is the start of a stack of new music from myself! A lot of the time I do find I need a rain day to reflect on where I've been and where I'm heading, here is a new 3 minute melodic journey representing just that. 'Rain Days'.

I recently performed at Arcadia alongside heaps of local and interstate electronic legends, where I rolled out a live set of unreleased originals. I was humbled to receive such a warm response, and I can't wait to share more with you. For now, hope you like this one!

Detour

It's been a little while since I last had new music out. One of my recent aims was to start being more prolific and free-flowing with releases. Whilst I've been writing a ton, it has taken me some time to create something that has helped me turn the page on a part of my life. 

My new single 'Etched' is about making peace with the journey that the mind takes in order to heal. Late last year my life changed in an instant after a horrific event, and overnight I was back living in my hometown of the Sunshine Coast.

I've rebuilt my life, started a new career path in acoustics and despite the world being in a hectic space right now, I'm writing this feeling the best I've felt about myself and my environment for a long time. 

Etched is out now on all platforms, I'm stoked to be sharing it.
