He entered politics as a farmer and outsider in 2018, defeating David Reis in the primary and then Cynthia Given to become State Representative.  He beat Given again in his bid for State Senator in 2020.  He then ran for Governor and while unsuccessful, there were some silver linings in that performance.  Locally, he did very well garnering almost 83% of a 59% turnout in White County.  He's also now an author and sits down with Jc to talk Rooted for a Reason.
