STATEMENT

Johnnie Campbell (J Camp) born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, has under gone a dramatic change from a young gifted boy into a very talented young man.  Ever since he was a little boy, he felt as if his life was headed in the direction of music. At the age of five, he had the opportunity to perform with Indemsyt, and the group Qualo, which were both successful groups in Chicago during the mid 90s. Throughout the years following the performance, he never gave too much thought to music or what he wanted to do with his life until his early years in high school. 

Around sophomore year of high school, him and his friends decided to pursue music, but only as a hobby. They decided to form a group by the name of T.G.O. (The Gifted Ones) By then they were known throughout the school.  Around the end of sophomore year, he produced a hit called "Change the Code" that was sung throughout the high school he attended. That song represented a change in the uniform policy. It was an anthem that would change the way students looked at the uniform there. 

During his years in College, he took the time to practice his craft with piano and new techniques learned from school. The classes he had also gave him a new look on music as a whole. 

During his years after graduating from college, He has worked with different artists and have composed music for many different films. He has kept his goal in mind to influence change for good in the world and wants to help people through his music.
