This track was the first track that Stef and I have worked on together. There has been so many iterations across several genres but this was the one that really nailed the sound. It's been in the making for over a year and rather than keep it on the computer its best to share with everyone!

This track came together randomly when Kat came over to Sydney in 2016 and a few weeks before that I reached out and asked if she wanted to collab. I found Kat on triple J unearthed and her voice stood out to me straight away. Although the collab was originally going to be on another track when she heard a draft of this track she said "THIS IS THE ONE!" and Call it out was written that day. It went through a bunch of change and then finally saw a release in early 2020.

This track takes inspiration from the early 2000s mushroom Jazz but with a Cuban twist. I traveled to Cuba in 2018 and as soon as you walk down the streets, you get a feel of people's passion for music. The artwork is a photo I took when I was walking down the Malecón.
