Wrote this back in January of 2015 as my first 8-bit song. Not the best, but my friend accepted it as the theme for his OC, so I suppose I must've done something right!

While I was looking for some humanity
I found pride settling where it once lived
I guess it’s time I hop into my hot air balloon
I want to get another perspective

I thought everyone wanted equality
To be accepting of all cultures
Instead I discover the barriers
As outdated as the dinosaurs
I want to reach out with hugs and nurture to those around me
Instead of parroting disgraces that tears down someone’s identity
While disguising oneself as a comic

I want elegance, I want change
I want laughs from the silliness in summer
I want a union of a billion different colours
Exclusion based on appearance is like saying new haircut styles bring justice
To our universe

We all need to be each others allies and helpers
Not act like leaf blowers so loud that they censor
Nor enemies that egg the community
Where are the hugs? Where’s the serenity?

I want to sit with my cats and all who needs healing
I want a future not just of loving
But teaching our friends it’s okay to self-love in a world where love is not always given
