Cielo Records is a new label project based in France from JC Laurent that features four underground and original works.

The inaugural EP comes from the label boss himself who has over ten years of productions under his belt for the likes of Coyu's Suara, Abstract Division's Dynamic Reflection, and Deepak Sharma's Hidden Recordings amongst others.

Opening the release in style with "Prajna", it has a quirky and brooding slice of hypnotic techno with cycling sounds and accents.

"Expander" opts for a raw percussion rhythm with bubbling atmospherics and swelling, phasing energy instilled into its spacey vibe.

Stripping things down is "Transparency" that flaunts analogue elements with a less is more approach allowing the sci-fi details to really create a dystopian atmosphere.

"Trikaya" adds a whole new angle to the EP with a stunning breakbeat and IDM-influenced track that will surely spin a dance floor into a frenzy with its creative style.

Starting with "Comet" it's a melting pot of dub techno and modular sound effects with an ethereal, analogue presence.

Second up is the "Comet (Na Nich Remix)" which adds an even more dreamy textures to some elements turning it into a dystopian soundscape.

"Nothing But An Illusion" steps into a slightly leftfield approach with cyclical tones, shuffling beat and a sci-fi aesthetic.

The final track titled "The Switch" is an overall deeper facet of techno that intertwines with a looming intensity.

As every label, Coincidence gets its fair share of demos. In these days of digital streaming and torrents many labels have come rather hesitant to sign tracks from newcomers. Which is unfortunate, because it also closes the door for the future top producers who might one day take over from the 'old' techno generation.
We wanted to do something with those demos and at the same time, do something cool for those youngsters knocking at the door of what will be hopefully a long and interesting career. And the best way to achieve a common goal is: collaboration.

So, we are proud to present: Twelve. A compilation featuring twelve tracks of a dozen of artists who each submitted one track. Yes, some tracks might sound raw an unpolished, others will simply sound out of place, but we just feel potential and that's all what is important in this case.

Besides the digital release, we will also press one copy on a 3LP vinyl. Cut meticulously by mastering engineer Misjah at 24Mastering, this will be an absolute collector's item and the best part: it won't even be for sale. But we will give it away to one lucky punter who buys a presale ticket for our upcoming label night at Kompass (Gent, Belgium) on 12th November.

Anyway, hope you'll enjoy the first edition of Twelve. We hope we'll be able to fill a lot more of these in the coming years.
