One of the earliest hymns that my parents taught me, and I still sing it to this day. This hymn is such a loving reminder that no matter how heavy the burden we feel within, we can tell the Lord. Do you have a deep and hidden secret? Tell Him. Is your mind uneasy? Tell Him. Is your heart heavily burdened? It matters to Him concerning us!

Many people think we need to be something or someone before we can approach God, but the Lord became a Friend so that He can come to us. He is willing to approach us and comfort us. We simply need to let Him. I hope this hymn comforts you, too, in a time that you need comforting. He is the God of all comfort.

Before the start of my New Term (FT4), this song has become an encouragement to me to go on, move forward, and fight the good fight. Despite my failures and defeats, the Lord's grace super abounds that I may continue my race. Not only me, but also you. I run, you run. I fight, you fight. In my race, and in your race, the Lord is running together with us!
