BSOD - Last Life (Original Mix)

With this track, I was in a contemplative mood and combined chopped-up vocal clips with atmospheric waves of sound (high synth chords and low bass swells). The breakdown starting at 1:05 uses a half-time beat and leans into the vocal chops to create a mysterious vibe. The track title was inspired by a plot device from the movie "Everything Everywhere All at Once". If you could put anything you wanted from the universe onto one bagel, what would it become? 🥯

On February 2nd, dance music titan Eric Prydz returned to the hallowed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix decks, taking control of the airwaves for two hours of forward-thinking electronic music. This marked Prydz’ return to the Essential Mix show for the first time since late 2011, when it was recorded live from his set at Creamfields. The reaction to the show on Saturday was so big that it got the Essential Mix trending on Twitter on both sides of the Atlantic while it was being aired.
