It’s been about six months since I released my last “album”, so wubbalubbadubdub. Here you’ll find a blend of progressive house, trance, and downtempo, with some nerdy track titles to boot. The overall journey I’m painting is: start the party off strong (and a little dark), get into a brighter energetic groove, throw in some playfulness, and end with a little beauty and mystery. 🧿

First Party Perspective

Bright textures, rhythmic bass lines, morphing voices, and sprinkled noises (with some symphonic swells and sonic splashes thrown in for good measure) make this a fun track to dance, drive, or run to. When I close my eyes, I see a faraway land... with jagged mountains, vast expanses of undulating terrain, and eternal cities where buildings stand tall and never fall. ✨

I'm a bit of a physics nerd, hence the title, which tries to express the ineffable nature of subatomic existence. Or something like that. Anyways, this track is relatively simpler and shorter than many of my other songs but maybe that's a good thing. I played around with a bunch of foley sounds and manipulated vocal samples left, right, and topwise until I had something that felt moody, a little mysterious, and somewhat magical. Plz to be enjoying this track!!1 (I'm pretty pleased with how well the visuals match this time too.) ⚛️

On February 2nd, dance music titan Eric Prydz returned to the hallowed BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix decks, taking control of the airwaves for two hours of forward-thinking electronic music. This marked Prydz’ return to the Essential Mix show for the first time since late 2011, when it was recorded live from his set at Creamfields. The reaction to the show on Saturday was so big that it got the Essential Mix trending on Twitter on both sides of the Atlantic while it was being aired.
