I've started to settle into a consistent style when producing these progressive house tracks, as long as I force myself to sit down and get in the zone. For this album, I experimented with various synthesized instruments and warped audio samples, but generally formed a pretty predictable percussion pattern with some simple breakdowns. I'm a fan of complementing long, lush synth pads with pluckier brasses or strings, so you'll hear a lot of that here. 🌊🌌

Force Full Flow

I had some fun messing around with the deep bass-y lines, pitch-bending and warping and distorting them. I also arranged the synth riff and "bupbupbup" vocal chops next to each other in a call-and-response fashion. A friend of mine described this track as "unhinged", which I'll take as a compliment. (o_O)

Spagetty

Started with a simple chord progression and layered everything from there. I decided to sprinkle various interesting sounds throughout this track. Bonus points if you can find the dolphin clicks, cat purrs, and... something that sounds uncannily like Slack's default notification sound. 🐬🐈🧹

Mono Tonic Ally

A nice little progressive house track to open your DJ sets with (just watch out for that tempo slowdown in the outro). Persistent upbeat plucks contrast with occasional stretched-out vocals that remind me of taffy. BTW, the title is an anagram for "Coincidence". 🎲

Nice Dice Con

More drawn out and atmospheric than most of my tracks so far. Not much else to say. Best enjoyed with your eyes closed while lying down. 🌊☁️

Subjunctive Mood

Ingredients list: kick, clap, hats, a bright and airy pluck progression, a simple bass drone, a free-flowing brass melody, some distorted vocal harmonies, occasional whooshy/wave-y risers, and... bird chirpy sounds. 🐣

Convoclusions

A little faster-paced this time (129 BPM), with some fun stereo glitchiness. I tried to emphasize more realistic sounding instruments, namely the brass notes and electric guitar arpeggios. There's an epic story behind the title of this track (too long to fit here) involving an escalator, my personal trainer, and the edge of my sanity. 🙉
