Blue sky on bubble rock
Right behind you till we reach the top 
But the rain came and washed me ‘way
In a dream that begged me to stay   
 
Locked down, held up 
by my faded love of dusk 
Fish become birds, ships become clouds
As I write letters in the wake 
Only the way well trodden
Has seen the way to the top of mountain

Sang about love like its something to find
There’s enough in the world, even if your heart is blind- so is mine
And I learned about love, how we live it together

Mount sanitas in the summer
Margaritas in the sunlight
Its a Another picture perfect moment 
I didn’t take in when I stole it

Red Rocks, Red sun, its Colorado 
Pre show had me spinning, spinning to the top
where we missed the main act
Clutching your hand like a sail in the wind 
Only the way well trodden
Has seen the way to the top of the mountain

Sang about love like its something to find
There’s enough in the world, even if your heart is blind- so is mine
And I Learned about love, how we live it together
All in this ship, like brothers,
Fighting sand and sea, my sisters
And go on to raise the final sail
For we are not alone 
What once was theirs is ours
