Mellow Jam

Yana Smutina and Dissolvve - Dumb Chorus

Demo track from 2007, made with the purpose of being used for a band. The track was never finished or performed. Despite good intentions I got carried away and overdid the overdubs (a tendency I struggle to get rid of even now). I made an effort to leave everything as unaltered as possible from the 2007 mix. The only thing I was forced to add was the bass part; before there was a horrible midi placeholder and it was missing in many parts. I tried to play it the way I would have played it in 2007 and it still remains a bit naive since I am not a bass player.
The drums were made from a sample CD found at a friend's house, I don't know where they came from. It probably also has loops in it from the library of the old Apple Soundtrack Pro...

It is an honor that the students of the Conservatorio Profesional de Musica de Guadalajara (España), played one of my pieces, Inclinado de las Tardes, based on the Pablo Neruda poem! This is one of their rehearsals. Professor: Paulino Toribio.
