Who doesn’t need a little love song in their life?! JC Sona has released a track called ‘Gal Dil Di’ produced by himself, with vocals from Sikandar Dar and rap vocals from Mr G. Sikandar Dar actually wrote the song and played the guitar composition with Mr G writing his rap verses.

This song is a love song in its own right, everything a girl would love to hear beautifully poured into 4 minutes. Sikandar sings to his love about everything he would do for her, from the small things to leaving his home. Definitely a song to have on whilst floating into a day dream!

Sikandar Dar was born on 6 Nov 1989 in Gujranwala Pakistan in a Punjabi family. Sikandar Dar is a Punjabi Pakistani Singer grew up listening Ibrar Ul Haq, Amrinder Gill. He really comes through on the track; the passion and depth within his voice feels like he’s much more mature.. 

The rapper is MR G from New Delhi an up and coming desi rapper. He’s new to the music scene but JC is convinced he will make it big alongside the team!

JC Sona is back with an official remix of ‘Jaan’ by the one and only Maz from Bonafide featuring Mr Riz of the chart topping group “Sona Family”. The original track hit over 1 million views on YouTube as well as being a worldwide success. This remix has added a touch of versatility to the original eastern inspired track to switch up the genre; definitely something different from any producer currently within the industry. JC Sona, a formerly integral cog in the Sona family wheel, recently returned with the titanic song “Nakhro” that garnered plays across the board from BBC Asian Network to Eastenders. After a few years out of the business one could only have dreamt of such a homecoming. Having hit the ground running JC Sona’s not letting up. The classic one-two punch; following up Nakhro with a second devastating blow, “Gal Sun”. With boundless devotion and enthusiasm for production, JC Sona has spent his sabatical ruminating over ideas. What comes now is not the product of conveyor-belt mass production, but an unrelenting creative mind back on its home turf.

Flitting from one genre to another (from hip-hop to dubstep) may not be the norm. But for what? It all seems a little cliché but JC’s not back for wealth or fame. The time’s come for JC to truly express himself through his music and not feel shackled by the pressures from corporate chiefs to fill their silk-lined pockets. 2014/2015 is all about being a renegade to the rules and that means anything goes from hip-hop to dubstep, or house to ragga... of course never straying too far from the roots of the Punjab.

“Gal Sun” is a far cry from the style of JC Sona’s highly acclaimed back-catalogue of releases. JC melds the fundamentals of raw desi vocals, dholaks and tumbis with nasty dubstep beats, making “Gal Sun” a widely accessible club song. Whether it’s the grimy dubstep breakdowns or Noordeep Lally’s classical Punjabi flavour, “Gal Sun” has the JC Sona touch that guarantees dancefloor devastation. Ominous basslines grumble beneath the raw vocals throughout suspense-filled breakdowns; JC shrewdly planning the perfect moment to pounce and drop the dubstep, creating an absolute ruckus!

A big track for both the bhangra heads and the electro heads.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next one too, with JC exhibiting a different side to what we’re used to. “Day N Age” sees JC collaborate once again with Tino Attillia from the song “Nakhro” and up and coming artist Naide. JC might just be a bit of a microphone fiend too.

This remix is nothing short of epic! With a trap vibe, and taking it back to his love of hip-hop, JC has used the rapper Mase’s vocal to complete this masterpiece. It is totally different to what is currently being produced within the industry.

After the huge success of 'Akhiyan', British Asian artist Kee returns with a new remix of the track featuring the producer JC Sona and rapper Tino Attila.

This buzzing new remix takes Akhiyan to a brand new level and reaches out further afield to newer audiences whilst keeping her existing fanbase content. The song is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD.

Akhiyan is a Punjabi-infused dancefloor anthem, with a beat produced by JC Sona and additional vocals by Tino Attila.

Speaking about the track, Kee says: "I really loved working with these guys. I think they've really done justice to the original version and I'm sure that people will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it!"

JC Sona was born and raised in Southampton and labelled the ‘Master of the Decks’. Previously a member of chart topping, world touring group ‘Sona Family’ (signed to Sony BMG, India), JC has won awards alongside the crew for their hit single ‘Glassy’ feat Hard Kaur and nominations for best group/album for ‘Make Some Noise’. Tino Attila has been in the music industry since the mid 90's. Beginning his journey as a resident DJ at his local nightclub and experimenting with rap in his spare time. He started music production in the year 2000 and remained behind the scenes for 4 years producing for himself and others. His eventual return to the forefront saw him cap four mixtapes in the first year. As well as developing his rap style he also developed his singing ability making him more of a force to be reckoned with.He has since gone onto successful group, solo and feature projects till present date. With hits endorsed in Europe and the UK making the rounds and music featured on BBC 1 in 2014. As of the last few years he has become a writer for other budding artists in the industry.

North London MC Skepta released a track called ‘Nasty’ some time last year. The track was an eagerly awaited response to Devilmans diss, proving Skepta still has his ear to the streets. The fiery response was a hot topic for a hot while and JC couldn’t help but bring this grime track back to life!
 
JC is always exploring different genres and has produced hip-hop, dance and even dubstep tracks over the years. The industry is changing on a daily basis and JCs aim is to establish himself by creating his own unique sound and constantly re-energising his brand.

What’s that?! JCS released another remix?!

For those of you that don’t know JC, he is a talented, versatile artist who is constantly exploring different genres. This time, he has put a Drum n Bass twist to a noted punjabi singers classic.

JC has admitted this is one of his all time favourites and he has always wanted to do something with a Dilshad Akhtar song. Although Drum and Bass is not to everyone’s taste, JC is never afraid to play with genres and you can’t help but crank up the volume listening to this one. 

JC Sona is working on lots of new material to share with you this year. Two tracks I cannot wait for are Colourful Girl featuring Ishi and Tino Attila, and one that you can hear JC rap, Day and Age. Talented director S6 Boy has shot both videos and particularly captured JCs life journey in Day and Age. JC wanted people to see the battle he faced with music and relationships throughout his career ups and downs.

Depending on where you’re at with ‘Mr Music’ your inclination to suggest JC Sona is playing hide an seek at a glance would be totally uneducated, his movement hasn’t lost a beat;

JC Sona is making moves on a solo, spreading his wings and working on some craziness and has much creativity to float around in one bubble!!

Desi Beats has played a big part in JC’s Career but never been the forefront, he’s been humming along with his music box all over the globe but itching to dabble in Desi, so an album instalment is on hold for this humble producer until he finds a comfortable medium in this exploding industry.
