@the-carry-nation, a staple of the underground dance music scene in New York, are absolute masters from it comes to a late night marathon set.  Over the span of five hours @djnitamusic and @djwillautomagic created an unforgettable moment that seem to pull from every corner of dance music.

There is a moment during the mix, which you can discover for yourself, where the equipment table decided to dance itself off stage and disrupt the mix. Crisis was averted as our amazing crowd immediately stepped in to literally upright the situation. It represents a moment of solidarity that @the-carry-nation opted to keep in the mix!

JC (SPRFRK) is from Brooklyn, NY via Miami, FL, a dance floor diva-turned-DJ with a presence in the Brooklyn underground queer scene. He’s held a residency at Happyfun Hideaway with his “Sick’ning Fridays” happy hour since 2020. Outside of that, you can usually find him dancing the night away at some function in Brooklyn or at home with his partner and cat. He hopes to continue collaborating with DJs and artists and bring extra flavor with his diverse and eclectic sound to many more dance floors in NYC.

For the 132nd entry in the Honcho Podcast Series, we welcome DC's @joann_fabrixx! Joann Fabrixx is a co-founder and resident of Flower Factory, a DC-based queer DJ collective and party series. Having DJed in various spots around the East Coast since 2017, Joann is grateful and excited to collab with Honcho. This mix starts out trippy and clubby, eases down into proggy house and techno, and then picks back up with trance and hardgroove. A crunchy outer shell with a gooey center. Listen to it when you need energy and elevation.

This mix is dedicated to the memory of Bryan Smith, who taught me how to make a mind-bending party happen with whatever glue and string were lying around. Bryan was a cultural and spiritual force in DC, and he will be missed forever. Tell your friends you love them.

Kevin wanted to share a few words about his mix: 'This mix was recorded live for Honcho 12/14/24 @ Hot Mass following a stellar opening set by Clark Price. As it was the last gig of 2024 for me, I ended up playing a lot of tracks that I had the most fun playing out during the year, consisting primarily of newer house and UKG.
