@jd-samson is best known as the leader of the band MEN and for being a part of the electronic-feminist-punk band and performance project, Le Tigre. For more than a decade JD's career as a visual artist, musician, promoter, producer and DJ has landed her at the intersection of the music, art, and activism. During that time she has toured the world, produced songs for Grammy award-winning artists, written for many well-respected publications, created multimedia artwork, hosted documentary programs, acted, modeled, and engaged in direct support with a wide range of progressive social and political causes. JD teaches at the Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music at Tisch/NYU and is currently making music as Sharer and CRICKETS. JD also presents a monthly disco/house party called PAT in Brooklyn that is now in its 6th year.
