I saw this at a theater with some of my friends from Color Guard. -_- My instructor went in person.

So here's something I was commissioned by Blue15bomber for his audio drama. He wanted something that resembled the 1980's rendition of the Doctor Who Theme, some adventurous and 'futuristic'. I tried to incorporate that feel with some of the spacey sound effects and synth sweeps.

But I'd say the main source behind this was the theme for 'Terrahawks' a short lived puppet animation show by Gerry Anderson, with a similar look to 'Thunderbirds'. The time signature and instrument choices are similar but I wanted to get that similar feel to give this theme that Saturday Morning cartoon vibe you all know I'm addicted to doing.

It provides a steady point of focus, a promise of a way out, and a path forward. It is a reminder that no matter how far off course you may have strayed, there is always something to lead you back. Inspired by the treacherous waters of the North Sea, Beacons is designed around an ocean aesthetic with a lighthouse prop as a central point of focus that can be called back to throughout the show. The show begins with a ship leaving port, continues with it becoming lost in journey through rough waters, and concludes with the light of the lighthouse guiding it back home.

Overworld Theme | Super Mario Land & Thomas the Tank Engine Mashup

On October 1, 2007, a four-minute long, one-day only tag commemorating Epcot's 25th Silver Anniversary followed IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The tag used the "World War III Barges" and was said have to tripled the amount of fireworks launched. At the end of the regular show a male voice-over was heard saying, "And now in honor of Epcot's 25th Anniversary we celebrate our history and look to the future. We've just begun to dream." Once the music began, select segments of classic Epcot music were played including We've Just Begun to Dream, Tapestry of Nations and Tapestry of Dreams. After the show, the retro music loop played throughout the park that day began to play, beginning with New Horizons. Due to the extra amount of fireworks used for the special tag, it took much longer than normal to move the firework barges off of the lagoon which resulted in a Burn-Off after midnight. On October 1, 2012 there will be a 30th anniversary show.
