The music score accompanied a planetarium show presenting a view of our galaxy from the perspective of earth’s moon. Featured in the experience was a progression of the phases of the earth seen from the moon which was documented from the first lunar landing. That data was reproduced in the planetarium from the Sea of Tranquility crater on earth’s moon and surrounded the audience as if they were actually on the moon..

This film documented the life of Fridtjof Nansen, the Norwegian polar explorer who designed a ship with a hull that could withstand the pressure of freezing polar ice without crushing it. He named the ship the Fram. His theory was that if he could enter the polar ice, the currents would guide the ice flow to the North Pole. While, it did not get him to the North Pole, his courage and ingenuity brought him home. He was a great advocate for peace and was awarded the first Nobel Peace Prize

This cue from the score underscores scenes from winter ice breaking up in the spring and birds dancing by fresh flowing water.  The music is composed with a jazzy 5/4 rhythm to follow the movements of the birds. It features piano, harp, string quartet, flutes, and Oberheim 8-Voice Synthesizer.
