Goldhawk - Dreamers Club Mix (Final Version)

So I recorded this mix as a throwback to my Manchester University days when I used to create these perfectly sequenced 100 track playlists to get me through long days in the library/gym etc.

Now that I'm DJn, I thought to myself, let's do the same, but mix 100 of my favourite tracks from 2022 together perfectly. A patchwork quilt of beautiful electronic music pooled together from old playlists, life affirming festival moments, all night/early morning club sessions, playing b2b with friends and listening to my favourite podcasts and friends' mixes/productions. You know who you are ;-p

You may have heard snippets of this mix at some of my recent gigs/other mixes, but this is the whole shebang, recorded in one crazy 8 hour session. This essentially means it now includes all the music that is much more suited to the club setting i.e the fun heavy shit.

Goldhawk - Amiti Opening Set

Here's the master of a tribal melodic track I decided to make. The female vocal was from a sample pack "Exotic Refreshment - Sofiya Nzau Voices From Miruri vol. 1" and the clip was called "Daci".

Miruri translates to Romania. Also looked up Daci on Wiki here en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dacians and it turns out that Dacia was a region inhabited by the Dacians in the north of the Danube (modern Romania). The kingdom of Dacia was the creation of Burebistas (c. 80-44 BCE). Many scholars have proposed an etymological link between the endonym of the Dacians and wolves. The Draco, a standard flown by the Dacians, also prominently featured a wolf head as you can see in the image. Liked the history behind the tribe, so decided to call the track "Dacians".

Really enjoyed making this track. Felt like all the stuff I've learnt over the year from my London AMP course, reading "The Secrets of Dance Music Production" by Attack Magazine and watching endless videos on Aulart and YouTube came together and I'm pretty happy with the result. Was also super fun using the Ableton Push; how sick is pitch bending synths with the slider and playing MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) sounds. Reckon this will be one of those tunes I come back to in the future to ramp up with new stuff I've learnt.

Goldhawk - Dacians (Marksman MST)

So the intention with this track was to create a peak time heater, strongly influenced by one of my favourite record labels "Lost Miracle". The track gives me mystical, empowering vibes (most likely because it's in B flat minor) so I decided to call it Issara, which is my Thai middle name. It has lots of meanings which sync up with the feel of the track. You can have a read here if you wish suttacentral.net/define/issara?lang=en.

This was my first deep dive with the u-he Diva synth. What a beast. Most sounds in the track come from here with the rest coming from Ableton and Minimal Audio - Current synth. Found some excellent melodic padding/fillers on Loopcloud and some decent transitionary sounds in a Ghosthack sample pack. Mostly Ableton audio effects, with the gold coming from some excellent audio effect racks that I've discovered on "the journey".

Goldhawk - Voices Radio May 2024 - Four Quarters, Peckham Closing Set 11.04.24

Hey guys this is Goldhawk here. The track I've chosen for the BMC show on the 21st May is my track called "Swooping". It seems to be my most popular one that I've uploaded to SoundCloud with around 1,500 views which is pretty good I guess.

So a little bit about the track. It was a fun exploration of "All The Samples From Mars" which is an amazing sample pack which contains samples from drum machines from decades gone by and is great value as well. And also the use of XLN Audio XO plugin which is an amazing tool for sound discovery. It has a colour coded map and as you drag your cursor through the map you can identify specific sounds that you're looking for and you can filter using different parameters. It's also an amazing drum sequencing tool. So this track brought those 2 things together in a really beautiful way.

What I like about this track is how I simplified things in comparison to previous tracks that I've done, to help with the mixdown and mastering. With this track it ended up being around 30 channels, whereas in previous ones I've produced they've had around 50 channels, which is painstaking in the mixdown as any producer will tell you. The reason for this is pretty simple. When you have less channels, there is less overlap in frequencies, which means each individual sound has more clarity and is positioned better in the mix. 

In terms of how I did this, it was predominantly by using more automation on the synths and also more audio effects throughout the track, particularly during transitions and breakdowns, in the drum, synth and atmosphere busses, rather than having to rely on new sounds to maintain listener engagement, fill the space and signal change in the track.

Other ways that really helped me simplify things down was by not having any vocals, not having a sub-bass layer which eats up a lot of the headroom and also utilising less loops. On the last point, I'm really happy that I played in 90% of the MIDI for both the drums and melodic elements, and only used a small handful of loops for the remaining 10% which you hear in the track. I think what that does is give the track a more authentic feeling, although the trade off is that it sounds a bit simple in some parts, but this will improve as my production skills level up. I'm happy overall considering I was only 1.5 years into my production journey when I made this track live.

In terms of the arrangement, this is a slightly longer track than your average at around 7 minutes, with an A-B-A-C-A arrangement, with a nice 1 minute intro and 2 minute outro, which really helps with DJ functionality and then there's a really beautiful 4 minutes of narrative in the middle.

A lot of different things that I learnt during my course at The London Academy of Music Production and through reading books and experimenting at home all came together in this track. 

I decided to call it "Swooping" as one of my favourite samples in the track, from the "Samples From Mars" collection, was a discovery called "Evil Butterflies", which really has this feeling of a bird fluttering and swooping downwards and descending and as my artist name is Goldhawk I felt it was quite a nice signature sound.

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my July 2024 mix for Lola Radio. I decided to create a mix that I'd want to listen to at an after party as the sun is rising. Heavily influenced by my recent outing to The Cause for the All Day I Dream showcase and DJn at a few parties that went on well into the day time. I've decided to call this the Burning Hawk mix. Goldhawk - Lola Radio July 2024 - Burning Hawk Mix

Greetings Heartwood Festival FM @user-812502929. KU3A @ku3a and Goldhawk @jdent2612 here. We are reporting to share a little bit of background on our origins story, as well as the inner workings of this year’s opening set. Our souls magically crossed paths at Noisily back in 2016 and we have been enriching each other's lives since then. For the longest time it has been a dream of ours to DJ together at a festival that is close to our hearts and it has been a pleasure to have the honor of opening up the final Heartwood Festival. Our set is a carefully curated combination of some of my favorite seasoned cosmic tribal world fusion selections mixed in with my most delectable finds in the organic and melodic house scene which have been inspired by sounds from around the world. Goldhawk - Into The Unknown (Tear Of Joy MST)

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my November 2024 show for Lola Radio. This show was inspired by @patchoulideep who invited me down to their open decks producers edition, at Folklore in Hoxton, on 25th November. 

I only had 30 minutes to play my productions which is challenging as they range from organic, tribal, melodic and progressive house. Furthermore, they are all in different scales. So to make all the productions I'm happy with flow seamlessly, I needed a full hour, with a couple of intermediary tracks for transitions. 

This show is my set from Patchouli Deep which has been extended to 1 hour, so I could showcase a few more of my productions. You'll be hearing 4 of my originals which are "Into The Unknown", "Dacians", "Swooping" and "Issara" and 2 collaborations with friends @soundofaom and @who-is-soul-alt-delete which are "Ecstasy" and "Lost At Sea" respectively, alongside 6 total bangers that I've been enjoying lately.

Parra Vie - The Canary (Goldhawk Remix) {Sound Of Aom Master}

Hey everyone this is Goldhawk here. I’ve finally recovered after an amazing weekend at Camp Aram. This was the 7th edition organised by my friend Aram Arachi. The festival was set in the gorgeous Malvern countryside, at a beautiful site called Out To Grass. It was lovely to see the Bristol Crew out in force with a grand repertoire of music covering everything from 80s throwbacks to drum and bass. Shout out to the performers K8Bosh, Thrill Collins, Late Day Breakers, Drumigan, The Menendez Brothers, Petey P, Naro, Valentine & Porter, David Petrozzi, Kasai Masai, The Nightshift, J Cams, Arachi, Eynka and Holy Fathers. I managed to squeeze in 2 sets on the Saturday between 2-3pm and 7-8pm, playing my default ethno, organic and progressive house which draws influence from different folk traditions from around the world. Goldhawk - Camp Aram 31.05.25

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my set from Notsilly Festival on Saturday 12th July. I dug deep with this one and pulled out some true beauties from my library which encapsulates my sound. Out of the 60+ sets I’ve published to SoundCloud this is THE ONE. Light and dark, hard and soft, magical instruments, tribal drum programming, sounds from nature, influences from Indian, African and Middle Eastern cultures, remixes and edits of classics in my style, alongside tracks and acapellas with beautiful lyrics.

It was a scorching hot couple of days and a real privilege to play to my favourite festival crew, some of whom I’ve known for 9 years since first going to Noisily Festival in 2016. 450 of us came together in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire on the River Soar, off the back of Noisily Festival being cancelled by Live Nation.

It was a real triumph, especially as it was all organised in 2 months and completely sold out. The organisers even had to secure additional fields so we could up the capacity and number of stages. Hats off to Vish, Lawrence, Adam and all the amazing people that helped make this happen. You are all legends in my eyes. The first ever Notsilly Festival will be etched into my brain forever and I can’t wait to return next year.

Goldhawk-Notsilly Festival, Sunset Hour Set, Party Trike Stage, Saturday 12th July 2025 19:30-21:00

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my sonic love letter to my wife Antonia Campbell-Evans. Whilst we have been legally married since 4th April 2025, we had our wedding on 2nd August 2025 at Harewood Forest in Andover. I played this set in front of both the Dent and Campbell-Evans families, most of whom have never seen me DJ in person, and our closest 150 friends. It was an amazing day and night that I will treasure for the rest of time. In terms of how the set came to be. I had been saving songs into a wedding playlist for a year. I then went through my soulful house playlist. And finally I searched “love” and “together” to see what my Rekordbox library came up with. Goldhawk's Sonic Love Letter Mix To His Wife Antonia Campbell Evans_020825

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my closing set from Soul Revolution Festival. Big ups to Jus-Gana for booking me. He asked me to pull together a Noisily Stage set which many of you will know me from, as I’ve been going since 2016. For those that haven’t gone to Noisily Festival, it was a mecca for psytrance and psychedelic techno, before closing doors this year. So for this set I went all in, no hold barred. 140-150bpm psytrance for the first hour followed by psychedelic techno and rave breaks for the final 30 minutes. I’ve played at a few festivals now, but this was the first one I got to close, so a very special one for me. And such a pleasure playing to the Noisily, Notsilly and Heartwood Festival crews. You know who you are. Also Soul Revolution Festival, in its 3rd year now, was incredible, especially 1 week after getting married. Set in the beautiful Weston Park in Shifnal, there were 200 facilitators doing talks, workshops and providing incredible music across 14 stages and tent areas over the 4 days and nights. It was super wholesome and I felt totally recharged and focused for what’s coming next. Looking forward to coming back next year. Hope you guys dig the set and hopefully see you in London soon. Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my closing set from Oslo in Hackney Central on the 20th of September 2025. This is one badass house set. It starts jazzy, with some sickening basslines, edits and remixes of classic house bangers, before going deep and sexy, then it picks up with some tech and Latin house sizzlers before an almighty finish at 135bpm. Goldhawk - Oslo Hackney Closing Set 20.09.25

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and this is my set from Shane’s 36th birthday in Walthamstow on the 4th of October 2025. I was asked to do the requests closing set and it was certainly a fun one. People attending had posted a whole bunch of tracks in a WhatsApp group and my task was basically to sew together the magical journey from this, whilst maintaining my authenticity as Goldhawk. Which basically means I wouldn’t play anything I didn’t actually like myself. The organiser Yawa sent me 70 tracks in a zip and luckily for me there were some absolute bangers in there. I weaved my magic and turned it into the melodic, trance and breaks set at 126-140bpm that you’re about to experience. The icing on the cake is that I managed somehow to top and tail the set with the sun thematically. Anyways I hope you enjoy it. Goldhawk out! 🦅

Goldhawk - Mayan Beach Bar Set In Turkey For Tubas 40th Birthday 29.09.25

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here. If you’ve been following my stuff online, you’ll know that I published my set from Mayan Bar in Datça, Turkey last week, which seems to be tracking pretty well. So I thought I’d follow through with my set from the Mayan Boat party on the last day of the trip. I started playing around 18:00, so I went with more of a house classics party vibe. Some old, some new and some personal favourites of mine. I had so much fun playing in front of 3 boats from the DJ boat alongside Selin Asar, Innerstice, Boran, Timanti and Bilge. Full pirate mode was activated sipping Mexican cocktails, soaking up the sun, swimming in the glistening sea and seeing everyone having the best fucking time. I wanted a way to relive that moment over and over again, so I decided to recreate the set from my USB history. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Goldhawk - Mayan Boat Party Set In Turkey For Tubas 40th Birthday 01.10.25

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here. If you’ve been following my stuff online, you’ll know that I published my sets from the Mayan Bar and Mayan Boat Party in Datça, Turkey over the last 2 weeks, which seem to be tracking pretty well. So I thought I’d follow through with my final psychedelic poolside set from the trip. Everyone was soaking up the first bit of sun we’d got to experience on the holiday, as it had been a bit grey and rained on the first day at the beach club. Not that that had stopped us all having a great time in any way whatsoever. But still, when the sun comes out on holiday everyone knows the drill. The cocktails were rolling out thick and fast and everyone was either swimming in the pool or getting their tan on. Innerstice and Timanti had been holding down the 1s and 2s all morning and I hopped on the decks around 15:00. I went in with no plan whatsoever, but the output was phenomenal and in line with the vibe in that short but beautiful teardrop of time. In fact I lost all track of time and probably would have kept going had it not been for Selin Asar snapping me out of my funk at around 18:00 to get me involved with the crew, who by that point were just frolicking about all over the place. I’ll leave it at that. So once again, in order to relive this moment over and over, I decided to recreate my favourite part of the set from my USB history for your enjoyment. And on that note, the Datça, Turkey layer cake is complete, so come and get your fill whenever and wherever you are listening to this from. Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and what you are about to hear is the set from my livestream party on Friday the 21st of November 2025. I did this at Apiary Studios in Cambridge Heath, London for my closest friends and family, to celebrate reaching my 100th set.

I think it’s important to celebrate milestones like this, and we certainly did that. I went all in, essentially running a small club for 12.5 hours, with a kitchen, fully stocked bar, decor, lighting, projectors, secret guest performers and DJs and livestreamed the whole thing to YouTube, Twitch, Mixcloud and IG Live simultaneously.

Goldhawk - 100th Set Livestream Part 2 21.11.25

Hey everyone. This is Goldhawk here and what you are about to hear is the set from my livestream party on Friday the 21st of November 2025. I did this at Apiary Studios in Cambridge Heath, London for my closest friends and family, to celebrate reaching my 100th set.

I think it’s important to celebrate milestones like this, and we certainly did that. I went all in, essentially running a small club for 12.5 hours, with a kitchen, fully stocked bar, decor, lighting, projectors, secret guest performers and DJs and livestreamed the whole thing to YouTube, Twitch, Mixcloud and IG Live simultaneously.

This is truly the best of Goldhawk to date, taking snippets from some of my favourite sets over the last 3 years, as well as some recent beauties that I just can’t get enough of. It is a true representation of the Goldhawk sound and I hope you enjoy the 136 track masterpiece.
