Modular Ambient Sketches

This is the "hello world" for my new Shared System modular from MakeNoise. I'm completely thrilled with this thing!

Multitracked two parts on the modular into the OctaTrack. Beats and CV clock via the MachineDrum. Chord stabs on the MonoMachine. Twinkle sounds via the modular.

This is a quick sketch of an ambient patch. The Phonogene is providing the incredibly trippy glitchy elements in the last half of the sound. Cheers!

Elect Yourself

This piece uses a trick I learned last week via a YouTube video that showed a guy playing an MS-20 "drenched in reverb" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynu8vPu2amg). By playing fast arpeggios on the mono synth, and using a long decay at 100% wet in the effect unit, he was able to get ambient, sustained chords.

Here's my attempt at the same using a modular going into the 2C Aether reverb plugin.

I set up four rows of "chords" on the René, and used the Pressure Points to select between these rows via the René y-cv input.
That way I was able to "play" each chord. If anyone's interested leave comment and I'll put up a patch diagram.

Enough (WIP sketch)

Feedback ambience. Seed is Telharmonic fed notes and gates from René, through Optomix, into a Zed 10FX mixer, fx looped through ErbeVerb to drone it up. Tweaked the frequency resonances with the Telharmonic centroid, and the swept mid EQ on the mixer. Added a little A&H flanger and an Ampex tape simulation to make it sound a little grungier.
