The Intermission displays the growth and development of J.Lamour as an artist and as an individual. I've been asked numerous times, "What's taking so long?" but I want my listeners to understand that "quality knows no time" and once you hear this project, you too will be content in that fact that it was well worth the wait. The Intermission is vastly different from the I Want More LP. The progression can be distinctly heard as it relates to my lyricism, vocals, holistic content as well as the confidence I've gained and illustrated through constantly perfecting my craft. IWM was indeed a therapeutic venture which reflected the anger I had toward various situations that were transpiring at the time. The Intermission brought forth the acceptance of my reality which I've now honed in on. I'm able to make the best of what God has given no matter how bad I think it may get. The omen for this project is to "expect the unexpected". As cliché as that sounds, it suits the sound that I've exemplified on every record. What I've done, is far from what one would conceptualize to hear from "a rapper". The term rapper comes with far too many bad stigmas and this is why I introduce myself as a storyteller.
