Punks are back! After a stunning debut in 2017 these guys are returning with new material. This record was influenced by the latest events connected with governmental issues with Russian club culture - raids, shutdowns of clubs and major festivals. Damage was inflicted on our beloved clubs and festivals such as Outline, Arma17, Rabitza. We admire our neighbors who fought for their houses and managed to protect them: Ukrainian Closer, British Fabric and Georgian Bassiani. 

This is a message about a sincere wish to save equality and independence. There’s no place for political games in our cultural life. Only freedom matters.

Sound slipping out like an oil slick up infinite fathoms of ornamented sandstone. Full system reversal, staircase, plateau slide plateau, staircase. Coins levitate, flip and reflect, recognizably fast spindrift percussion. The feeling reverberates, transmitting energi throughout four index fingertips as they encompass each other with carefully arranged blue foam consoles.
She says, ‘life is like this; occasional moments of ecstasy, occasional moments of despair. The rest.. this immeasurable doldrum middleground.. is open. Like a primordial playground dotted in a sea of potential’. ‘Let shine the lofty memory of darkness. Insist and resist the rest’. Fans of Helena Hauff's storming Cover Mix from earlier this year will be familiar with @lockedclub and @privatepersons. She certified Locked Club's 'Baikal Boogie', from 2017 debut EP 'Forever Punk' on Private Persons, as "BANGIN'" when selecting it among her tracklist of ferocious electro. 

The balaclava-donning Russian production duo and label are now linking forces again, with a five-track EP titled 'Svoboda' landing on November 9. The title translates as 'Freedom', and refers to the struggle clubland faces to exist in light of governmental attacks. They cite the raids and shutdowns of Outline Festival, Аrma17 and Rabitza in their home country, as well Kiev's Closer, London's fabric and Tbilisi's Bassiani from further afield, as influencing the rallying energy of this EP. 

This manifesto of fighting for freedom instils an intensity that surges through the record. The title-track is a blistering mesh of distorted textures, hard-hitting percussion and call-to-arms vocals from Vadim Seleznev, who demands we "value the moment of the rave" among his searing flow.

The records stop four hundred years in the future, after the lines shut, and the corporation withdrew. What we know of how we got here is pieced together by the fragments of the rail maps and corporate orders that survive.

After numerous waves of social collapse, Glasgow, a once prosperous city thriving off an industry of trade and shipbuilding, had run to waste in lawless ruin. The land passed into the hands of new owners; a German-speaking conglomerate, who incorporated it into a new civic entity: Neurealm. There were grand promises of a new age; a rail network, culture facilities, new life for the city. Neurealm never came to be. The violent indifference of the citizens to the new order saw to that. In its place a rats nest of horror and gloom, the damp ruins punctuated by strobe lights, and the desperate, ecstatic violence of the gangs that rule it.

Ravaged and warped breakbeats haunted by wailing euphoric noise, vivid and graphicreflections of fractured post-industrial hardcore, moments of poetry flashing within a thick impending fog. This is our soundtrack. A unique and visionary achievement; a wholly original future of beauty and despair: brutal, gritty, alive and urgent, blooming in the ruins, spiralling and raw, howling with life.
Heavy The Eclipse was written and recorded at Speedy J’s Rotterdam studio over 14 days in late November 2016. The Neurealm world was conceived and then carefully developed in close collaboration with graphic designer David Rudnick during the following year and a half.
