Got it made in the shade.

Been a musician all my life - what I mean is I always was studying music- even before I played and instrument. I also was the little kid who would sit at a piano with my head/ear on it and just listen to the difference between the notes. 

Picked up the bass around 16 and set off to learn it. I have taught myself a lot but also owe much to formal education, as well as some great musicians who have been willing to invest in passing on what they know. 

In my mind, I attribute any musical talent to these folks:

God - I didn’t produce a desire or an ability. 

Reggie Wooten - I lived in Nashville for a little bit. While there, I was fortunate enough to take lessons the “The Teacher” himself. His lessons have shaped a lot of my playing. They still teach me to this day.
