Following up on Florian Kruse & blaktone’s Ursa Major, FAR&HIGH hailing from Saint Petersburg with „Asperatus“.  
The Russian duo receiving massive support from no one less than Solomun himself, having released on Dynamic and Eclectic Tel Aviv label „Blue Shadow“ deliver an energetic 2 tracker with a remix from Tim Engelhardt.
 
Asperatus, named after the a cloud formation, which translates approximately as „roughness“, holds what the name stands for. A powerful and strong tune coming along like a storm mixing the best of Melodic House/Techno and Indie Dance. 
Endless isn’t less powerful, Though bit more stripped back. The track’s attempt to combine a classic disco house sounds with a retro futuristic electro funk. The lyrical idea transports the message that „personal freedom can be achieved with a balance of life experience and hopes for the future“, Far and High say. 
 
Tim Engelhardt, known for releases on Watergate, Poker Flat & Stil vor Talent, gives „Endless“ a bit of different tweak. Groovy, latin inspired beats, a hypnotic melody and a super emotional break let you fall in love and trance at the same time. Definitely a masterclass tune from the young gun for memorable sunrise or sunset moments.

To start with Ópalo, the title track of the EP contains synthesised vocals with an urban music feel, giving way to an addictive groove that transports us into the artist's unique sound.
We continue with Bold Girl, its great bass line and lead fit perfectly, leading us to a sublime and colourful stop that makes this timeless sounding song another winner.

We are thrilled to welcome two artists we have long admired to mobilee, for a very special collaboration - Blaktone & Florian Kruse. Berlin’s Florian Kruse has been in the game a long time, releasing on Anjunadeep, Last Night On Earth, Kompakt and now (how?) for the very first time, mobilee. Similarly, Blaktone too have forged his own path through the melodic landscape, hailing from St. Petersburg, the duo have records on Bedrock and Sincopat amongst others.

Kicking off their meeting of minds, “Supernova” is a strong, deep groover, where solid sounds have their own space to shine and contribute to this fierce creation which features a unique vocal story from Joplyn that rightly so, leads the story of this track.

Next up, “Muscida” is no less powerful, but on a different tip. This time synths tell the winding tale that is sure to move the limbs of any listener.

We are gifted with 3 tracks on this stellar EP, and “The Earth Will Be Okay” closes things off as forcefully, yet subtly as the rest of the EP, which we admire not just for the uniqueness of each track, but the way in which it was built. We’re looking forward to hearing this one on a soundsystem.

'Sincopat is pleased to present a very special collaboration by blaktone and Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich to deliver an EP full of nuances and pure energy. 

To start this incredible journey we have 'Domo Arigato', with a futuristic sound that hypnotises us from beginning to end. 'Pink Noise' is another crossover production with a really cinematic approach, an intense rollercoaster of sensations that will not leave you cold. On the remix duties the italian maestro Lehar perfectly maintains the essence of the original but takes his music piece to its own sonic universe. Conceptually connected to all the other tracks 'Tall Figures' includes raw synths and monstrous rhythms that make it another timeless song. 

To finish this EP/mini album we have a pure song of optimism and positive vibes, 'I Have To Go' is a perfect ending for this tale, full of complex sound layers and atmospheres that will transport you to other worlds.'

Although 2022 will see him celebrate a decade in dance, Luke Garcia one of the few artists who arguably turned the pandemic to his advantage with a discography that went into overdrive; Innervisions, Tau, Borders Of Light and Sum Over Histories were all added to the enviable CV over the past 2 years and now the peerless run continues with the ‘Ecro EP’ on Renaissance. 

Yet, ironically, the pandemic nearly put a hold on this momentum as Luke candidly admits....

“I took the whole lockdown thing very personally. I was at home with my family in Madrid feeling frustrated. I was secreting myself away in the studio, isolating on a creative and individual level, though nothing was flowing. One day, my wife Tania came in and we talked it through; she basically picked me up and put me back together - it was like a champagne cork popping, all the built-up pressure was released and I was suddenly able to channel everything into the happy melodies and inspirational voices that became ‘Ecro’. It’s a very special, personal track, which I gratefully dedicate to her.”

With the original’s joyful, emotive breaks firmly in place, Luke and Renaissance set about looking for the right remixer, someone who could bring a different style and feel to the track and Kiberu fit the bill perfectly. A relative newcomer to the scene, he’s already caught the attention of the likes of Dixon and me with his unique sound that fuses indie dance with slight Afro accents. It’s fair to say he’s one of the most unique musical voices to emerge in recent times, which he deploys to devastating effect with the remix. “I was born and live in Zurich but spent a large part of my childhood in the south of
Italy where there’s a passion for house. My music varies between deep, indie and melodic, but is also strongly influenced
by African rhythms. You can hear it in my work I think. I do like to mix it up and was instantly able to hear how I could apply ‘Ecro’s’ beautiful sounds to my style,” says Kiberu.

The EP rounds out with another very personal track, ‘Fiil’. “This was born by pure chance,” Luke explains, “We have young twins at home and I’ve been teaching and playing classical piano with them for over a year. One day an idea came to me as we were sat at the piano, so we composed it all together and my children ended up the architects of this special melody. It’s why it has so much feeling, certainly to me of course, which is why I named it ‘Fiil’, the direct Spanish
translation of the verb. I have to dedicate this one to Alexander and Valeria”.
