Jean Chaumont is a guitarist and composer. Born in an artistic home in France, he started studying piano at five, but was always drawn to improvisation. At fourteen years old he picked up the guitar and became passionate about it. Two years later he studied guitar with Serge Merlaud, then later Michel Perez and more recently, one of the most respected guitarist of the international jazz scene, Peter Bernstein. 

He had the joy to share the stage with many amazing musicians such as Fiona Monbet, Armel Dupas, Karl Jannuska, Plumes ensemble in several jazz festivals and prestigious venues such as Jazz at Saint Germain des près, Charlie jazz festival, Jazz at Vannes, Pleyel, Olympia, the Stade de France. 

His first album "The Beauty Of Differences" will be recorded in May 2017 with the help of brilliant jazz musicians from the New-york scene.

Jean composes music as well for film-scoring and the theater.
