3. Api - Nothing to do with an Application Programming Interface, Api, standing for “Apo” is the very first track Floxyd ever named after his little baby girl (Cuddoz). Now, all this is cute and nice, until you actually listen to the beast and realize we’re talking techno, serious hard techno! Api could well be the most oppressive track of the lot, creating a dark-room-like atmosphere, mixing detonating kicks with thunderous melodies to create a dancefloor ripper.

1: Venu
Keys, Mirrors, Seatbelts, Starter! The first piece of this episode is Venu, a melodic house track with deep house and progressive electro influences. Eerie synths combined with steady distortions and just the right amount of reverb create a powerful and inebriating tune. Progressive to the max Venu is not for the faint of heart, hold on tight this is just track 1 of 3.

2: Damaru
Foot down, gear switch and acceleration with the second track of this release: Damaru. Propelling us to faster, higher and hotter speeds Damaru simply hits differently. This track is full of classy breaks intertwined by progressive build-ups which lead to crazy drops! A baseline like a never-ending wave, synth notes from outer space and a cosmic kick all work hand-in-hand like the pieces of an engine to set the dancer within us in motion.

3: Damaru (Introvertical Remix)
Last stop: Damaru (Introvertical Remix). This one is a whole new level of deep, progressive, melodic and hypotonic house. Called in for the remix is Introvertical, Tantra’s mate and to be clear, he set the bar very high! This remix is everything a melodic techno track can be. A simple yet subtle edit of the melody, a slightly distorted bassline with an extra layer of effects and filters, multiple sneaky snare drums to supercharge an already gorgeous track are all elements that push this collab’ to the next level.

2 hour set for the 20,000 Years of Restreality party at ://about blank – a Berlin club in Friedrichshain on 23.09.2023.
This is a mix of old and new tracks – some of them anthems of the early days of the Restrealität – a fun forum for ravers which celebrated its 20th birthday with this party. I became a member fairly soon after it started under the moniker 'Maddad' - bestowed on me by my children. My daughter was also a member.
