Inspired by the iconic Green Line of the Stockholm subway, this album immerses listeners in the cold, raw atmosphere of the city’s transit system. More than just a nod to the snowy, urban landscape, “The Green Line” captures that uniquely Scandinavian feeling of solitude and introspection that comes with long rides through dimly lit tunnels and quiet, empty platforms. Each track becomes a station along the route, moving fluidly through various styles of Drum & Bass to create a true audio journey.

With over 15 years of experience promoting events in Stockholm, JNB brings a rare depth and diversity to his sound. He weaves in influences from across the whole spectrum—from intense, bass-heavy rollers to smooth, melodic cuts—reflecting the many sides of a genre he has long championed. “The Green Line” doesn’t conform to a single style, but rather lets each track stand as its own reflection of JNB’s love for the wide range of sounds within the genre.
It’s an album shaped by years of experience and a deep passion for Drum & Bass, crafted with care and attention to every detail. “The Green Line” is a genuine reflection of JNB’s connection to the music and the journey it represents.

Yes. It's the return of DJ Marky. The Brazilian magician's been in the studio, wrapped up his debut solo artist album and is set to release it just in time for those summer BBQs, parties in the park and rooftop raves. 

Although he's no stranger to an LP - don't forget he hooked up with fellow Brazilian XRS for 2004 gem 'In Rotation' - this is the first time he'll be releasing his own, with his label Innerground Records its home. What can we expect? That unmistakable drum 'n' bass funk of his and a couple of disco-dashed numbers.

Armand Jakobsson aka @DJ-seinfeld doesn't seem content with sitting still---not halfway through 2017 are we introduced to the multitalented producer's 5th release in as many months, under his third nom de plume no less. This outing comes under the alias Birds of Sweden, from the increasingly reliable and tactile UN.T.O. imprint (@grassochecola). UN.T.O. is hot off the heels of the well-received Dream Technology EP from Jack Roland, an acerbic collection of "dreamy electro hi-fi rave", and is showing no signs of stopping as they put out one of Jakobsson's most caustic affairs yet. The eponymous EP hones in on the producer's desire to lend his indelible touch to the world of Jungle music---across the entire EP, the breaks rush like whitewater rapids and barely leave room to gasp for air, but always with a ray of sunshine lighting the way forward.

Once a dormant and empty SoundCloud page with a seriously eye-catching logo, the Human Concrete Block - a new label out of London, helmed by Nettles- has finally emerged from it’s mysterious silence with an inaugural release by the talented Caffeine Worldwide. With previous releases on French Press Lounge and Third Try Records, Caffeine Worldwide returns with a new, stunningly unique EP on HCB. Blissful hardcore, ambient breakbeat and hints of IDM all come together for this cocktail of 90’s rave euphoria.

With tracks fit for every occasion, from a hard-hitting A1 to the B2 lullaby, there’s no shortage of varied style and emotion on this record. But our pick of the bunch is the A2: Park FX. IDM breakbeats and a bass line of heavy toms form the track’s foundation. Muffled voices scream and warped guitar hits screech out and excite you, while the addition of a sweet, trancey melody makes it all a very dance-worthy affair.

But beyond the danceability of his music, Caffeine Worldwide’s magic is hidden in the details. As the end of Park FX draws near, samples, effects, hits and melodies- carefully chosen, placed and panned - drift through one ear and out the other. Throughout the EP, Caffeine pairs all the little pieces to paint a coherent image and feeling (or a memory of one). And through his complex soundscape and patchwork of samples, a haze of bittersweet nostalgia is formed, only to dissipate every now and then to let in sun-tinged rays of euphoria. Full of perfect moments for any sunrise, the Trinity EP is a beautiful EP from Caffeine Worldwide and a very strong start for Human Concrete Block.

Dublin’s P​ear ​​label return for their sixth release with the new Soma EP ​​from Donabate producer Bryan Mooney, also known as DJ Moonbeam, under his N​ew Members ​​alias. His latest offering contains three spaced out club cuts sure to complement the thickest of dancefloor fog layers.

Following two stand-out minimal cuts is the EP’s closing track, “Eclipse,” a ruff’n’rugged jungle number ripe with synthetic dreamscapes and percussive elements that nod to the wider hardcore continuum. It’s the perfect closer to one of Pear’s strongest releases, and a nice calling card for Mr. Mooney, surely one to watch based on the effortless beauty of the project as a whole. It’s easy to get lost in this one, and it’s especially hypnotic in the moments when the instrumental quiets to make room for the rings of garden chimes. Additionally, the song is shrouded in a blissful layer of white noise, creating an illusion of water flowing over it, which for me is deeply relaxing.Stay tuned for vinyl and digital release of New Member’s Soma EP this Friday, January 18th. Brazilian label Yellow Island has scored the next EP from LA/NYC native See Other, who you probably remember from his storming 'Linda EP' on Lobster Theremin last year-ish. Three late night hazy jams to lose yourself in. Window Open's frenetic jazzy drums are counter balanced with sweeping cosmic synths, trumpet riffs and one hell of a pan pipe section. We just love the otherworldly rabbit hole this EP transports you down.
